Spacious room. Clean and well organized. Nice balcony with a view of the town.

I stay in this place for new year’s eve . The place is not what pictures shows. Technically it’s but, it wasn’t very clean. I have a pet friendly room and there was hair in the mini fridge and it wasn’t clean the all. The balcony was nasty, birds poop everywhere and they place the needles rack to scare the animals, and this is awful, the smell… The next door people was dragging the furniture like very lauded morning and night. Mattress are very uncomfortable. It is not expensive but I won’t stay there ever again. I try the “coffe” it was horrible ir was like poison. “Don’t ever drink that”. The experience for two nights was awful, horrible. There is no view to the beach, it is too the road, so you have the traffic noise throughout the day and night. Poor maintenance, bad paint, horrible coffee. The management company should invested in better solutions, make the guests experience a happy memory.
Manager response:
We're sorry you were unhappy with your accommodations, Maria. Staff will check for any animal feces or other unpleasant odors so they can get cleaned up. Thank you!

First off one of the beds was broken was held up by some wood. The floors were not very clean. And the beds are so uncomfortable all of us hurt the next day.
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Wendy, we regret to hear that we were unable to provide you with a pleasant stay. While we understand that sleeping preferences vary widely, we are deeply sorry to hear that the bed did not provide for a comfortable night of rest. We can assure you that we will take immediate action to address your concerns. Moving forward, we are now aware of the bed issue and we will continue to work with both our local staff and homeowner to make improvements for this, we also passed your cleanliness concerns along to our housekeeping staff so they are aware of it. We greatly appreciate you identifying these areas for improvements and hope you'll give us a second chance to impress you.
Everything is good except the cleaning charges. They charged per day on my 3 night stay. Didn’t see house keeping throughout my stay.

The WiFi was really good, so many towels (which was great). Good sized room, we actually really liked the seemingly random table in the room. The room was clean, the beds were fine. Only natural light was from slider, which was missing the screen door.

There is no air conditioning. Room doesn’t look like the pics. Old building with paint and new furnishings. Door was sketchy. Too much $ for what we stayed in.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Johnnie. We are so sorry to hear some aspects of the home did not meet your expectations. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement and we will pass your feedback on to our local team. We hope to host you again very soon!

This is a modest accommodation, but was clean and pet/sand friendly. I had no troubles checking in or during the stay. The evenings were quiet. Walk down to the beach, stroll south to hit the public beach access to grab a coffee, then sit and watch the morning unfold as the waves roll in.

Great open space, right on the beach and convenient to the store across the street.
Manager response:
Thank you for your generous review, Elizabeth. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the open space and proximity to the beach that our home offers! Please know that our local staff is always available if amenities in the home fall short. We take guest feedback very seriously and appreciate guests' preferences as a means to continuously improve. We hope to have the chance to host you again soon!

Well this place is next to the beach and did not cost a fortune. This place was pet friendly and very quiet. Things may not be upscale but it worked for us especially for the price! It was walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and not too far from other towns to go to and enjoy. I would recommend this place for sure.

The photos are true to the inside but we found out why there are no photos of the outside. It is a motel not a single studio. The place was just meh. Not directly on the beach but close. There are better places to stay in Rockaway, but if you are tight on money it will do.

We should’ve read the reviews, but we’re in a pinch to find a place so we could be with family staying near by. We’ve stayed at Vacasa before in NorCal and if I were them - I would distance myself from this run-down Motel for fear of bringing the brand down. Past reviews are accurate and this was a horrible stay with my family (kids 5 and 1.). No ventilation and the only outlet for air is a slider with no screen that opens up to the main thorough way through the city so it’s non-stop traffic until about 1am. This is the epitome of lipstick on a pig and I wish we wouldn’t have trusted this as a Vacasa property. Dirty, loud, hot and looks like they converted these units from a rent by hour Motel. Parking was a disaster and we were extremely disappointed. Wouldn’t stay here again even if they offered us a free stay. DO NOT BOTHER TO STAY HERE
Manager response:
Hi, Mike! We appreciate your feedback and are so sorry to read you were unhappy with your accommodations. We have noted that parking is first come-first serve so our guests won't be surprised by this. Guests can get fresh air in the home by using the slider door on the balcony. Thank you!

The photos were very misleading. The room itself is updated but the building is very old and uses a power breaker for power. The power was out the entire day Saturday and Sunday except for about 2 hours when the breaker was turned back on but would shut itself off. None of this was noted on the listing which should’ve been. Not able to use fridge, hairdryer, or tv or anything because of power being out. Couldn’t use microwave, had to use flashlight and shower in dark. Just rediculous for the price that was paid. The shower knob was broken and had to use channel locks to get it going. The bedboards were not secure at all and by just moving a toe it would hit the wall. The staff on hand was nice but there was no way to get ahold of them unless we physically saw them. No direct number to call for staff on site: only to Vacasa and even then there were long wait times
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Sarah. We are sorry to hear about the local power outage that affected your stay. We are happy to report that power has been restored, and the shower knob and bed boards have been repaired. We hope to have another chance to better serve you in the future!
