You can easily check in to play 18 holes a short distance away while other members of the family shop, dine, or watch a movie at either the Kings' Shops or the Queens' MarketPlace, both of which are within a mile. Getting around:
Kona International Airport (KOA) is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Waikoloa along the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended for beaches, restaurants, and resort shopping. Some dining and shops within Waikoloa Beach Resort are walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or at local properties.
