We enjoyed our five night stay at this property. It is very well appointed. The rooms are as clean as a vacation home gets. The property has many toys for kids to play in house and at the beach. The kitchen is well stocked.

This was a wonderful home and more than met our expectations. You could tell that this was a family's home and had special touches like games and a multitude of movies. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We had three 20 somethings with us and there was plenty of space for 5 of us and things to do. We loved the easy access to hiking trails, the location, the peacefulness, the porch. The Vacasa staff were helpful and very responsive when we needed help with a repair. We had a fantastic family vacation staying in this property and would love to have the chance to return.
Manager response:
Its always great to hear that our guests enjoyed their stay with us this much. we look forward to seeing you again!

spacious cabin, close to hiking trail and lots of room around cabin with snow for kids to play in .Impressed with the amenities provided such as curling iron and blow dryers as well as flashlights and batteries. They thought of everything! This cabin is more than fully furnished, it is also stocked in case you forget anything. My only complaint was that the washing machine leaked all over the laundry room so we had to use more clean towels to clean up the mess.(I'm sure that will be addressed before the next occupants rent). My only suggestion is to install better quality door knobs and locks because it was very difficult to lock/unlock with the key as well as locking the knobs manually by hand.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and wanted to let you know that we have addressed the issue with the washing machine. Thanks for letting us know. We will also take a look at the door knobs that you mentioned. Thank you and please do come see us again soon!

It was a home away from home. I found this beautifully decorated cabin in the woods to be comfy and warm with a the sense that is was very well lived in. The little knick-knacks, the huge library of DVD's and VHS's, the board games, backgammon and alike helped make this vacation rental feel just like being at home. The fact that there were sleds and other snow toys for the kids made this extra enjoyable for the kids. All in all I was very pleased with this rental.

My wife, children (4m & 2.5y), parents and I enjoyed the 2 nights we stayed with you. The cabin was very quiet, but close enough to services located in Tahoe City. My wife and I enjoyed having access to WiFi and my eldest daughter enjoyed some of the classic animated videos that were available for viewing. Thanks!

We had such an excellent stay in the Trailhead Cabin. It looks a little unimpressive from the outside, but the inside is just so cozy and nice! Thanks!

This is a great cabin in a really neat spot, very close to good hiking and access to one of the best beaches in Tahoe! We would definitely come again.

The cell phone reception for a Verizon phone was terrible but I know there is nothing you can do about that but just wanted to let future guest know so they can plan accordingly. Everything else was wonderful and would stay there again.
Manager response:
I am sorry to hear about the cell phone reception. This bit of information may be very helpful for future guests - Thanks

it's a great out of the way place, quiet and good for walking on the nearby trail. But its a 2 mile steep drive down to town not good for bicycling.

This is a great little cabin, but with room to entertain. It backs up nicely to the forest giving that remote cabin feel. The loft upstairs (doubling as a fourth bedroom) worked great for lounging or gaming. I would suggest bringing your own coffee cups as the ones in house are small and there are only a few. The beds (except one of the downstaira queens and the loft sofa beds) are beyond firm. There is one foam bed cover provided, but it works best on the loft hideaway bed (unless you don't use it). Despite this, we would certainly stay again. There were 8 of us, but it could have slept 10 no problem. We did have other guests over and had no problem with the space.

I stayed here with my husband, two-year old son, and parents for 3 nights. The property was great and we loved that a trailhead was right out our back door with tons of wildflowers. The private beach club was nice as it had a playground but the beach itself was very small and rocky (not worth a visit if you don't have small kids). Common's Beach and the other parks are better for swimming, lounging, or activities. The house was very clean and well stocked. I just wish the beds were firmer. I slept on a different one each night and couldn't find one that didn't squeak or make me sore in the morning.

Very nice cabin. Easy to rent, beautiful/quiet/peaceful neighborhood.

We stayed at this property for 6 nights. It is a comfortable house. The kitchen looked like it was recently updated and it had all the essentials. There are two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs, both had hair dryers). There were 5 of us. We spread out our showers because the hot water ran out fast but we adjusted. It might be a problem if there are many more people staying here. There were two TV's, (one upstairs and one downstairs), each with its own DVD/VHS player. There were LOTS of great family movies available for us to watch (that was a nice surprise) & some games to play. There was a washer & dryer & several beach chairs. All in all, a good place to stay.
