When everyone returns to home base after a day of adventure, preparing dinner is a breeze in the fully equipped kitchen or on the gas grill in the fresh air! Plus, gathering around the firepit as the stars come out is always a great way to reminisce about the fun that was had that day. Come winter, everyone can cozy up next to the wood stove and watch the snow fall quietly outside or break out the board games for a bit of friendly competition.
Sitting ten miles south of Del Norte proper, you will be away from it all while still being near grocery stores, fabulous local restaurants, and charming breweries! After a long day of hiking Middle Frisco Trailhead or other local trails, a cold drink from Three Barrel Brewing or Colorado Grille & Tap House/ Mystic Biscuit Coffee House is never a bad idea. If you have a few skiers in the group, a day trip to Wolf Creek Ski area is well worth the 40-mile scenic drive and offers a plethora of groomed trails for all experience levels.
