Sterling Shores 219A - Destin, FL

Hotel room 219A was clean and spacious. Ample sized small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and small sink. Bathroom was large with tub and a shower. Also, incuded a walk in closet. We had access to 2 pools, 1 on main property and the other across the street beachside. Resort provides beach chairs and umbrella, but for a fee of around $35/day. Beach was clean and clear during our stay. The mattress was a little too soft for more my liking, but overall we had a nice experience.

The resort in general was very nice. Access to the beach was easy. The grounds were beautiful. The pool was great, etc. The room we got was clean but wasn’t what we anticipated. There was no kitchen as it ended up being more of an additional room a family might add on for their kids to stay in that is attached to their main room that does have a kitchen. But we made due and adjusted it’s the smaller room and smaller refrigerator. Couple of things annoyed us though: 1) No chairs in the room - not even one chair. I asked at the front desk and was told that is how that room came. Their were two outdoor chairs on the balcony but none in the room. So if you want to sit in the room you can only do that on the bed. 2) This was just bizarre but after running out of the the 2 rolls of toilet paper, we asked at the main desk if we can have a few more and were told that they only supply 2 and after that we are on our own. So for maybe 1-2 dollars they couldn’t pony up for another roll or two? After paying $1,200+ for a smaller room for the week they are going to be that cheap? Just really kind of weird. Of course it’s not a huge deal to go get more toilet paper at the local store but we found this to be less than hospitable to a paying guest.

So just beware of what type of room you book as we weren’t shown the room ahead of time when we booked via ABNB… and being extra toilet paper with you! 😜

The place was nice and the tub was amazing all around very nice place and close to a amazing restaurant.

The worst experience I’ve had ever had with a property!! Stay away from this place. They use false advertising and I ended up booking a room that was supposed to have an ocean view. Once I arrived to my room, there was no Oceanview. I contacted the property manager Lawan Who proceeded to tell me that I had to go back through the booking company to change my room. I called that company who then left me on hold for an hour to talk back to the property manager and the only solution was to cancel the room but still
Pay a cleaning fee and oh then I would be without a room at all on a vacation. Great! I informed the manager, as well, that there were flying bugs everywhere, still no accommodations for me can be made! This place was disgusting in every possible way you can be I spent my hard earned money just for this BS. I will never use this company again in life and I will proceed to write a review on every site I can.

I love this place it. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

Everything was great! The only thing I would say put a note to say there is a outlet in the nightstand inside of the left side of the bed drawer. The other the power switch cuts off of you charge your phone in the wall on the other side. Other than that it was just what I needed.

This place is located around many great attractions and restaurants. The pool and beach are wonderful!

awesome customer service! Everything about the unit was a major hit for me. Unit was spacious, loved, loved the hot tub, and the view from the balcony was my favorite! Literally just a few blocks , actually walking distance to the beach. Will definitely be booking through vacasa again. Couldn't ask for a better stay!
