An authentic Tahoe experience in the most peaceful quintessential A-frame cabin.

Nice cabin near golf and out of busy South Lake Tahoe. Great spa.

I really liked the backyard looking out into the forest instead of looking at your neighbors! The hot tub was warm and clean.

Pros:
-Location is good. 10-12 min drive from South lake Tahoe
-Exactly as advertised in the pictures and description
-Hot tub was a great addition
-Clear instructions and Vacasa helpline was reachable during our stay

Cons:
-Thermostat didn't work. It got literally hot inside the house during the day time as it was summer(July). We were at the mercy of 4 fans.
-The toiletries provided were clearly less for even 3 people.
-Although this was advertised (through pictures) but be aware that top bathroom is not usable to take a proper shower. There is no 'shower' since this is just a bathtub. 6 people had to take shower in a single bathroom downstairs.
-Wifi didn't work half the time.
-The flush in the bathroom downstairs was leaking. (Not too major)
-The basin the top floor bathroom only gave out extreme hot water.
Manager response:
We appreciate your review, Amrita. The bathroom leak is fixed, and we will look into your other concerns. Thank you!

The location of this house is great, backs up to the mountain so very peaceful. Like most rentals, the kitchen supplies are hit and miss but we made it work. Our family and dog were very comfortable during our stay. The highlight was the claw foot tub in the upper bathroom.

Clean place with great and inconsistent amenities…
They had a drip coffee set up but we couldn’t find the coffee pot.

They had a great hot tub but by day three the water was getting murky.

The heater worked but the main bedroom would get uncomfortably hot during the night since all the conditioned air was coming through the bedroom to heat the rest of the two-story house.

Overall, still a five-star stay with the only real drawback getting it close to a markdown being the hot tub situation mentioned above. Our stay included three guests using the tub. We were clean before entering the tub and by day three the tub was dirty. Kinda made the last two days of taking a relaxing tub a bummer. It would have been great to have someone schedule a visit mid-stay to check on it and add some more chemicals to keep it on the up-and-up, if necessary.

The heater situation is more of an ‘it just is what it is’ situation. Not certain that there’s any way for them to fix heating the whole house evenly without adding a second furnace and thermostat… one to heat the lower bedrooms and one to heat the A-Frame with second level space. So the lower level bedrooms just get blasted with heat since the heat comes through those rooms to heat the rest of the house.

There was a pack of coyotes in the neighborhood which was an entertaining surprise each day when they would come through. We also were treated by a bear roaming through the yard on our first day.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Jack. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay, and apologize for the inconveniences that prevented you from having a perfect stay. Please know the local staff is always available to assist with any amenities and features in the home and would have been more than happy to assist with the hot tub had we been notified. We hope to host you again in the future!

Clean, quite getaway.

The location was perfect and the area was beautiful and convenient for everything we wanted to do. The house was cozy and the windows provided stunning views of the snowy forest and just the right amount of sun. We would have preferred the beds to be less firm, maybe some bath robes for the jacuzzi, and some complimentary coffee pods for the Keurig. Otherwise, in case you forget to bring anything, there is a nearby Market that comes in handy! My other recommendation for guests would be to bring an all wheel drive vehicle if you’re visiting during the winter months since it can get pretty icy on the roads. Overall, we loved this house and would definitely stay there again. Thank you for a lovely experience!

We really enjoyed the cabin, however I’m giving three stars because when we arrived at the property it was impossible to park the cars, we had to shovel our way in, it wasn’t easy, it wasn’t fun, once we accommodate into the house my wife wanted to get into the hot tub which wasn’t possible cause again no body took care of the ice blocking the cover, it was until next day I have to struggle to get all this surrounding hard ice off, my bill shows hot tub fee, I think it covers someone cleaning it to be ready for us.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Armando. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment. We would have been happy to assist with any questions or concerns if we had been notified during your time with us. Our local team strives to provide every one of our guests with the best vacation possible. We are so sorry if our standards were not met during your time with us!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was in a quiet location, at the edge of the forest with wildlife and hiking trails. The hot tub was perfect since the weather was chilly. Check-in/check out was easy. It is an older, cozy cabin with quite a few upgrades. The reason for 4 stars is that it lacked essentials such as salt, pepper, napkins or paper towels. However there is a smaller grocery store very close to get items you need. Also the beds were very firm/hard. Just a pillow top on the mattress would eliminate this, but I know this is a preference. Overall, we enjoyed our time there!
Manager response:
Hello Joann, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit. While the kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and utensils needed to prepare meals, food and other pantry items like, condiments, seasoning, coffee, and tea are not typically stocked in the home. We encourage guests to plan ahead if they anticipate needing additional items during their stay. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Very nice house, easy self check in, large hot tub. Beautiful space to spend time with friends and family.
Kelsey C. Oct 2021
This place was perfect, location felt secluded but was conveniently located to grocery and a few yummy Restaurants. The hot tub was a treat under the stars and the fireplace was cozy. We loved that there were all the tv/cooking amenities! And the little details for our dog were perfect. We will definitely be booking there again, especially when we have family that can join us.
