Lovely cabin that is just far away enough from the craziness of Gatlinburg but close enough to the GSM national park. Cozy outdoor patio area with hot tub and bar. You'll fall asleep to the sounds of the creek outside. We would immediately book this place again if we returned to the Smokies!

Wow! The cottage was perfect and very nicely appointed and maintained. We will definitely want to reserve another one of Hanah’s cottages for our son’s next basketball tournament. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing!! I will definitely be back!

This is a great rental for a small group. It seems relatively new but there are a few considerations to keep in mind. There is a coffee pot but they supply nothing to go with it. I have never rented a vacation home that didn't even supply filters and some type of coffee. It is a small thing but know that going in. Also I have no idea where you would park a second vehicle because you do have to park on the street. The road was not terribly busy and you can walk to town. We found it easier to drive down and park to walk up and down the main drag to site see and shop etc. The beds are comfortable. Overall I would recommend this house.
Manager response:
Jana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. While the kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and utensils needed to prepare meals, food and other pantry items like coffee and tea are not typically stocked in the home. Parking is available for two vehicles in front of the home on the street. The parking notes are listed in the description of the home. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to host you again.

Wonderful place, close to Gatlinburg! I wouldn’t say within walking distance but it’s easy to run back to for a quick break or to grab lunch. I was somewhat disappointed that the kitchen had absolutely nothing in it as far as coffee filters, aluminum foil or anything else you might need so be sure to bring everything. The house itself was perfect for our family of 4, the boys enjoyed the upstairs area with games! We will definitely return!
Emily K. Mar 2022
We loved everything about this quaint, quiet chalet. In walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg and close enough to quickly access hiking trails and other attractions. Would stay here again and again!
Kathryn G. Mar 2022
We loved our stay at this beautiful chalet. The kids had a wonderful time and the fireplace was so nice to sit next to while cuddled up with the family. We would recommend this home to everyone.

Looking for a convenient location with all the amenities and feels of a cabin in the mountains? Look no further! This location feels and looks as relaxing as its photos. Check-in was as simple as typing in a code and there were no keys to lose. We felt secluded, yet safe. I’ve listed some quick pros/cons to help you decide if this place is right for you:

-Walking distance to strip. Part of it isn’t a sidewalk, but was well-lit and we felt comfortable.
-Low traffic.
-Bedrooms on different floors.
-Hot tub feels hidden and secluded despite having neighbors.
-Master bathroom is 11/10!

-No automated dishwasher.
-Some kitchen essentials were lacking (i.e. pizza cutter, high quality pans/pots/skillets)
-Not a lot of counter space.
-One small couch, which works for 3 or fewer.
-Found extra pillows, could not locate extra blankets.

Despite the “cons”, this place deserves a perfect score. Our vacation was not lacking in the least and if you have the opportunity to stay in a cabin within walking distance from Gatlinburg, you will save money and time (and burn off a few calories after your visit to Pancake Pantry).

What a great place to stay. The cabin was perfect. This owner has thought of everything. There wasn't anything I reached for that they didn't have. We loved the cabin and how close it is to the strip. The beds were so comfortable. We all were tired and a little stress when we arrived and we left feeling revitalized.

PAC man was great fun too as it was a childhood favorite for all of us 😉.

This cabin won’t disappoint. We will definitely be back.

The house was beautiful! It has everything you need as far as appliances (except a dishwasher). The location was perfect to walk into town. My only critique would be that it’s listed as two parking spaces, and our two SUVs barely fit. There was no railing along the side of the creek where you park, and that the upstairs room with the loft may not be best for children who get up in the middle of the night. We loved the home, it was cozy and so comfortable. Definitely a great trip and would stay again!
Manager response:

The Whole Cabin was wonderful, it was absolutely beautiful.
Donna P. Oct 2021
Small but just what we needed. Placed away from the busy Gatlinburg but close enough to have fun! Sure missed a dishwasher though. Good thing we ate out most meals.
Haley S. Sep 2021
The outdoor fireplace next to the creek was amazing! Perfect spot, great vision for these unique chalets! You can hear the creek while sleeping. Everything was decorated perfect! Will definitely book again.

Very convenient and clean home. Enjoyed all what it had to offer. Thank you for being great host! My family enjoyed your home very much.

My family loved our stay at The Alpine Chalet! The home is beautiful, the creek is amazing. Loved sleeping to the sound of it very night. The outdoor space was so nice to relax on. We had fun as a family playing each other at Pac Man. The location is fantastic because you feel secluded, yet it’s a short walk to downtown. We even saw a mama bear and her three cubs right out the front door within minutes of arriving! I would highly recommend The Alpine Chalet, we just loved it!
Renee L. Jul 2021
This cabin was awesome! We loved everything about it!
Matthew C. Jul 2021
Close to main street
Kellie M. Jun 2021
The house was close to Gatlinburg(walking distance) but still appeared to not be in the town.
Sam T. Jun 2021
This charming little chalet is close enough to walking distance downtown but far enough to escape the noise. The creek that flows under is great white noise for sleeping too! We loved the hot tub and even safely spotted a bear from the window. There are some bugs that will try to be your friends after a few days but as to be expected given the location and the indoor/outdoor living. Parking is a little iffy with the creek but can easily fit one car no problem. Can’t wait to go back!!
Ginger P. Jun 2021
Private, yet close to town. House was incredibly clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
B. May 2021
Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! Day 1 hour 1 we saw a mama bear and her 3 tiny cubs. The bears did not disappoint. We saw at least 1 every day.
H. May 2021
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We took advantage of the perfect setting and enjoyed the outdoors but found the house much more than a cabin in the woods! Great hot tub! So long Smokies!

You did a fantastic job with this chalet. Normally by the end of a vacation I miss my house, but now I`ll miss this chalet as I return home. My wife really enjoyed sitting in the rocking chair next to the fire. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and video games. I appreciated the overall design of the chalet and the sound of the creek, especially at night when it helped me to fall asleep. The whole family enjoyed hiking to Laurel Falls, riding some Apline Coasters, visiting the Ripley`s Aquarium, and eating at the Old Mill Restaurant, among other things, but whatever we did it was always a pleasure to return to this chalet at the conclusion of each day and be greeted the next day by such rustic beauty. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Today is our 28th anniversary and we cannot think of a more beautiful way to have spent it. We`ve had the pleasure of spending the last three days in your family`s home and it has been absolutely amazing! The house is everything we thought, and hoped it would be! Thank you for allowing us to make our anniversary memorable!

Thank you for providing a wonderful place for us medical students to take a break on one of our weekends off. We enjoyed the game machines a lot and cureently are holding the high score in Galaga. We were able to use the fire last night and had a wonderful morning by the creek.
T. Apr 2021
The chalet is amazing! We enjoyed every bit of the time we spent here. It felt good just to relax and spend time with family. We lved that the chalet was close enough to where the action was downtown but far enough that we had our own oasis with peace and quiet when we needed it. The kids were fans of the hot tub and arcade games of course! Apart from the internet hiccup, everything else was great! We will remeber this vacation for years to come and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you for the memories!

Our fmaily loved everything about the cabin! It was truly a comfortable home away from home. We really enjoyed thge hot tub and making smores using the outdoor firepit. It was so convenient to have all the space and comfort so close to town! Our teens liked riding up to the Skybridge, and we enjoyed a nostalgic round of putt putt at Hillbilly Golf (I have been coming to Gatlinburg since I was a little girl). Our favorite food was No Way Jose`s. We had it twice! We can`t wait to plan a trip back soon!
W. Mar 2021
Thank you for sharing The Apline with our family! We did not get to meet Oso, but did spot a couple of bears on our ride down from Annakeesta! We loved using the hot tub and the sound of the creek was so amazing!! The proximity to the main stip was perfect - we didn`t have to pay for parking EVER!! We will defintiely recommend!
U. Mar 2021
We absolutely loved our stay at your cabin. Every detail of this adorable cabin is stunning! Our three boys 5, 7, and 9 loved having the creek right by the cabin. We did not get to enjoy the ourdoor patio because of rain sadly. Can`t wait to come back and try it out and grill some too! My family visits Gatlinburg 3-4 times a year. We have since I was very young. This has to be the cutest cabin I have ever stayed in. It is just magical. We didn`t get to see any bears while here this time. This was totally fine with my boys though! They were able to play on the rocks, enjoy the hot tub, and play the cool arcade games. They especially liked the A frame room upstairs. They thought it felt like an awesome treehouse. Thank you so much!
P. Mar 2021
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. This was our third trip tp tthe Smoky Mountains and this was by far the best cabin we have rented yet! I really appreciate all the modern updates that have been made to the place. We were so cozy waking up to the cozy stream flowing in the front. You guys have really set the bar high for other rental properties. Everything was perfect. We look forward to our next stay!
H. Feb 2021
Thank you for shairing your beautiful chalet ith us! We enjoyed the sounds of the creek, the hot tub, games, and much needed family time for my sons birthday! Sadly we didn`t see Oso. We will definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends!
Megan A. Feb 2021
We loved our long weekend at the Alpine! It’s the cutest place and looks exactly like the pictures, brand new and so nice! We walked everyday to the strip. It’s a solid half mile but totally doable. We liked that it was off the beaten path. The other chalets around it look just as great and we can’t wait to stay at one of these again in the future. Thank you!
A. Feb 2021
We have loved our stay in this amazing cabin. We also loved listening to the water at night and enjoyed the hot tub. It`s been nice to just escape and relax. I loved the water at the cabin when I went to sleep. I had a good night in the queen beds. And LOVED downtown Gatlinburg! I wanted to go to Annakeesta but we didn`t have the time. There was so many things to do. I bought a Smoky Mountains shirt and it is tie-dye! We went to eat at the Peddler, Timberwood, and the Park Grill. Which are all really good places to eat at. No we know where to go if one of them is packed. - Alexa age 9 This cabin was great! I am already lookiung at booking it again later this year. My 9 & 6 year olds loved the hot tub and arcade games. Everything is so new and nice. Thank you!

We enjoyed our mountain escape more than you can imagine. We enjoyed ourselves so much, the place was beautiful. Our three year old son enjoyed the video games upstairs and would have spent the entire trip playing them if he could. Our family took your recommendations and ate at Loco Burro although we couldn`t enjoy the rooftop because of COVID. We ordered curbside and it was delicious. Just like the Andersen`s we were hoping to see Oso but didn`t have the pleasure. While visiting it snowed!! We are originally from New York and haven;t seen snow in about 5 years. It was the first time our son got to witness it. We also visited the Ripley`s Aquarium which was super cool. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with our family!

Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home! We loved the sooting sound of the creek. We wish we could bottle it up - the sound - and take it home. The adults lived downstairs and our twin 14 year old boys lived upstairs. They loved the hot tub, video games, and the icicle wall behind the house. We grilled every night!! We stayed away from the crowds downtown to enjoy only the cabin due to `crowds & COVID`. We want to come back and enjoy more once COVID settles down. We went to Cades Cove and saw an eight point buck right next to the car! Saw at least 20 deer, lots of wild turkey and male deer. We didn;t see any bears and we never saw Oso, but we were hoping. Nice, cute cabin you have, thank you!
