Comprised of two separate living spaces that can be rented separately, room for up to 12 guests, and a central location near a variety of activities, you won't have to go far for fun. Two dogs are also welcome and allowed only in the lower level of the home.

Two miles from the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and set just six blocks from the Yaquina State Park that hugs the beautiful Yaquina Bay, this home puts you in the heart of the coastal action. Beach access is right across the street, and the shops and restaurants of Nye Beach are a few blocks north.

This listing includes both halves of the duplex - though you can also rent one or both halves individually as needed. Each section of the duplex is self-contained and features all the comforts of home, making this a perfect arrangement for two families traveling together or for a large group. Dogs are also welcome to come along for an additional nightly pet fee.

Each half of the duplex (which is divided into upper and lower sections) has its own living area, kitchen, full bathroom, and two bedrooms. The upper level has a private balcony and the lower floor has a patio.

Vaulted wood-beamed ceilings and sweeping ocean views from the upper floor welcome you into your seaside getaway. Lounge around on the inviting couches as you keep up with all of your favorite cable shows on the flatscreen HDTV. Pop some popcorn and make it a movie night with your favorite DVD. Put together a small plate of hors d'oeuvres, grab a bottle of wine, and sink into relaxation on your private balcony or patio where you can watch the waves roll in and tell stories underneath the stars.

Head back inside and take advantage of the open kitchens. With upgraded granite counters and all of the conveniences of home, you'll be able to whip up a delicious dish for all of your guests easily. Let the dishwasher do the clean up as you finish the night off with a few rounds of board games with the kids' and adult games provided.

When it's time to retire, this four-bedroom, two-bathroom duplex can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. With each bedroom boasting its own queen-size bed, you and your guests will be able to spread out and stay in style. There are two pull-out futons available for even more sleeping options.

Wake up with the view of the crashing waves as you enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Leave the car at home while you revel in a long, meandering stroll along the sandy shore. Take in the stunning sights at Yaquina State Park and experience the beauty of the nature preserve.

Take a two-mile trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the neighboring Hatfield Marine Science Center and learn about the local ocean life and the maritime history of the area. Afterwards stop in for an ice-cold brew and some mouth-watering dishes at the Rogue Ales Brewery.

Elsewhere around Newport are plenty of antique shops, art galleries, and eateries of all types. For a fun day trip, head north about 30 miles to Lincoln City, and make sure to stop in at Depoe Bay, the whale-watching capital of the coast, along the way.
