The neighborhood:
South Kihei is particularly kind to couples who want a beach day without a big production. Kamaole II is directly across the street for a swim or sunset, and Kamaole I lies nearby for a longer stretch of shoreline. Along South Kihei Road, shops and dinner options keep an evening flexible. If you want to stay closer, two pools, a tennis court, and grills are on property. The neighborhood offers a straightforward version of Maui: warm water, casual meals, and the ability to walk back to your own lanai when the day winds down.

Getting around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
