There's a public access point to (and a parking lot for) the beautiful ocean beach only three-quarters of a mile west. This area of the Northern Oregon Coast is ripe for day trips as well, with Oswald West State Park 14 miles north, Tillamook 15 miles south, and the Three Capes Scenic Loop just beyond.
