The gated complex is secure, but the pedestrian entrance and exit will allow easy access to all that Waikoloa has to offer. What's a great day? Watching golfers (and non-golfers) play along as the coffee is getting piping hot. Perhaps it's spending the day watching your favorite show on the flatscreen TV while doing your laundry and relaxing in the cool A/C. If eating out is getting old, the full kitchen and nearby groceries will help inspire you to work with all of the amazing kitchen amenities.

The neighborhood:
Waikoloa Beach Resort is made for relaxed, sun-filled days on the Kohala Coast. Anaeho'omalu Bay, or A-Bay, is nearby for a sandy beach day, swimming, and time on the water. Kings' Shops and Queens' MarketPlace bring together restaurants, coffee, groceries, and browsing close to home. The lava-rock coastline, resort paths, and golf fairways give this area a distinctly Big Island feel. It is a convenient choice for guests who like having the beach, dinner plans, and an evening stroll all within easy reach.

Getting around:
Kona International Airport is roughly 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive up the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended to reach beaches, restaurants, and the resort area's shops with ease. Waikoloa Beach Resort keeps some shopping and dining walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or on site at most properties.
