Bright Home with Sweeping Ocean Views & Quiet Location - Close to Town

Plan an enjoyable stay in Pacific City at this gorgeous home. Offering expansive ocean views and a quiet location with nearby beach access just a couple miles away, up to 10 guests will have a fantastic time here!

Located atop a hill overlooking the city and ocean, you'll enjoy privacy as well as convenience. Hop in the car for a short drive to restaurants, the beach, or any of the scenic areas nearby.

The home itself is bright and welcoming, with polished wood floors and large picture windows letting in light from outside. Grab a seat on an assortment of furniture in the upper-level living room and get cozy with a book or play a board game with the group. On stormy days, you might watch a DVD or VHS on the flatscreen cable TV or stream your favorite shows using the complimentary WiFi.

On the other side of this open room is a kitchen and dining area, where you can cook whatever you'd like with full amenities and extras like a mixer, slow cooker, waffle iron, blender, coffeemaker, and dishwasher. Three can sit at the breakfast bar, and four will fit around the table by the wood-burning fireplace.

Step outside in any weather to enjoy the view of the ocean from the expansive deck and grill up tasty food on the gas barbecue. On sunny mornings, you might sip coffee on the patio future, or wine in the evening to a glorious sunset. Clear nights are a perfect time to bring out the telescope to observe a starry sky.

A second living area downstairs is perfect for kids, with plush furniture and another TV where they can watch a different movie from the adults.

Four bedrooms and two full baths make this home suitable for up to 10 travelers. Upstairs are two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and another with a king.
Downstairs is one bedroom with a queen bed and another with two sets of twin bunks. There's one full bathroom on each level for convenience. Also, a private washer/dryer lets you take care of any laundry.

This home is perfect for a large family, a couple families traveling together, or a group of friends - head to the beach for a day of fun in the sand, flying kites, throwing a disc, or building sand castles. On your way out, you might stop by Grateful Bread Bakery for breakfast, or grab some food to-go and enjoy a pleasant picnic on your outing.

Bob Straub State Park is a great place to explore, with myriad hiking trails and places to fish, or else Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area just north offers sweeping ocean vistas that are sure to take your breath away! This home is priced low for a reason - it needs a lot of work. (Most of what we paid went to fees and taxes - the owners maybe got 1/3rd of what we paid. So while I say "low" price, I'm talking about the owner's share. Overall it certainly wasn't cheap!)

Most notably, home is pretty much original and the floors are very sloped. (Foundation issues??) A marble placed in the middle of almost any room will quickly find the wall. It kinda reminded me a carnival funhouse. That said, it's quiet, comfortable, roomy and functional. It was perfect for what we needed - home base close to where we wanted to hang out. In Pacific City, we love BJ's fish tacos, the Pelican Brewery and, of course, the beach and sand dune.

cozy place with a great view!

Beautiful views in this slightly dated Pacific City home on a hill above the ocean. We were able to view the entire town of Pacific City, the Nestucca River and Nestucca Bay, and the waves crashing onto Kiawanda Rock. The home is functional, warm and comfortable with slightly dated appointments. Downstairs is musty but clean and has two additional bedrooms that could sleep a total of 6 with the two bunk beds.

Great view!
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Maria! We're so glad you enjoyed the coastal views. We have taken your private feedback seriously to help give each guest the best stay possible and hope to get the chance to host you again sometime soon.

The large deck and big picture windows are the best part of this home, providing a stunning view of Cape Kiwanda. The house is also well equipped with games & toys for the kids & cooking items. Five adults and two kids were very comfortable. Pacific City is a beautiful place with great surfing, we hope to return often.

great view of ocean,, close enough to drive to beaches, house was clean and had enough in kitchen to be able to cook a meal, nice big area in basement for watching tv or playing video games.

I loved the view! The house was very spacious, with nice separate living space down stairs. The deck was incredible for star gazing.

The rental was a bit old with a couple quirks, but the great view and comfortable space made it all worth it.

An amazing view close to good fishing, surfing, craning and long walks on the beach.

Beautiful view. That's it. From the deck, or even from the living area, you can see pretty much all the view Pacific City has to offer.
The house is a rambler (or whatever you would call) with daylight basement. Two beds up, two down. One full and a 3/4 baths for both. Pergo/laminated floor on main living area, carpets for the rest. Living room is quite roomy, kitchen is adequate if you do not expect too much. Downstairs it is quite mushy, you could smell it three steps downstairs. Be careful if your party is allergic to something, otherwise it is livable.

The yard is overgrown with weeds/black berries, into adjacent neighbors'. I suppose the neighbors would not look you with the best eyes. The deck is roomy with the best view, but the railing is an accident waiting to happen.

Well, I like my stay since I know my surrounding. You may as well.
Manager response:
We appreciate the guests feedback. The Local Manager has contacted maintenance about doing landscaping work. The owner has been contacted about upgrading the furniture and painting the downstairs to help eliminate the must smell.
