This beautiful, well-appointed mountain condo has everything you need for your next mountain getaway. Suitable for families, small groups, and multiple couples, this vacation rental offers a balcony, gorgeous mountain views, and shared amenities like a pool and sauna, just to name a few.

Only two miles from Squaw Valley Resort, you'll be in the Tavern Inn complex, providing you with the quiet reprieve you're looking for easy access to the Village for more activity when you're in the mood. If you want to park your car during your stay, no problem, as you can use the shuttle to navigate back and forth on a whim.

With a nice balance of light and dark colors, medium wood throughout, and tasteful, modern furnishings, this condo provides a warm and inviting haven to serve as your home away from home as you create lasting vacation memories.

The living room is bright and open with a high ceiling that opens to the upstairs loft. Get settled, then relax on the comfortable sofa or chair as you acclimate to your new environment. Chill in front of the fireplace while you watch a show or movie on the flat screen TV, complete with cable and DVD player. Or listen to some music on the stereo while you surf the Internet and make plans for your time here.

The dining area, just adjacent to the living room, sits before a set of sliding glass doors and offers seating for six, as well as beautiful mountain views. Gather here for dinners and socializing after you've cooked and savored your most recent culinary creation in the bright, full kitchen. With attractive color combinations, stainless steel standard appliances, including a dishwasher, and ample storage and granite counter tops, this space provides you with all the tools you'll need for masterful meal prep and clean up.

Sleep peacefully on one of the queen-size beds in each of the two bedrooms downstairs, and let the kids have the loft space, accessible via the charming spiral staircase, which has two twin beds and a small sitting area. All in all, this two-bedroom (plus loft), two-bath home sleeps up to six guests comfortably. And you'll enjoy the convenience of a private washer and dryer.

Tavern Inn itself provides plenty of amenities for a low-key vacation. In the warmer months, make a splash at the pool and enjoy one of the two available hot tubs, then utilize the community grill for a laid back, no-frills dinner. If tennis is your game, play a few rounds on the shared courts, or work in a game of soccer on the on-site turf field. Then take the kids to the playground to blow off some steam before heading inside for the evening.

In the winter months, revel in the fact that you're vacationing at Squaw Valley, voted the best ski resort for 2016 and home of the 1960 winter Olympics. In addition to a multitude of skiing and snowboarding options across 4,000 acres, you'll find plenty to do in the Village. After a long day on the slopes or a quiet day at home, enjoy a meal out at one of the fine or casual dining establishments. Shop at one of the many shops, treat yourself to some yoga at Wanderlust or a spa treatment Trilogy Spa. And of course, stick around for some of the excellent live music Squaw is known for year round.

This unit is nicely appointed and spacious. The photos are intriguing - making ski pics into art. We rented late in the season and it worked out well. It was fairly well stocked, but at as of this writing, a few kitchen items are in need of replacement. Overall we were pretty happy.

This is a great location but the water temperature in the showers was cold and the beds need new mattresses. Overall, a good option for a large group.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, James! The hot water heater is working but does need time to refill when used up. The homeowner has been advised of your comment regarding the mattresses. We hope to see you again!

We spent 5 days of our 7 day vacation trying to fix the following issues
1. Water clogging in the shower (3 days to fix)
2. Refrigerator not cooling (5 days to fix.. Does not yet cool fully. We lost a lot of baby and senior food)
3. DIshwasher not working with a puddle at the bottom after cycle completes. After fixing the issue yet persists
4. Lock box very hard to open. Neighbor had to help us and to open the box. They replaced it.
5. Main Screen door did not open due to broken latch.

All in all This was not a good vacation for us. We were ready to head back on the 4th day.
Manager response:
Aditya, we are sorry to hear that your experience with us was not the pleasant and relaxing vacation for which we strive to facilitate. We apologize for the cleanliness and maintenance issues you encountered that negatively impacted your stay. We appreciate you letting us know about the issues in order for us to properly address them and for allowing us to refund you for the inconvenience. We confirm the refrigerator and dishwasher are in working order, and we hope you will allow us the opportunity to host you in the future.

Beware summer visitors, there is NO A/C!!!! This important detail is missing from the unit description. I hope they add it on the property listing. Inside the unit was between 87 and 93 degrees our entire visit! Unable to cool it down even at night. Master bedroom faces main road and window could not be left open due to excessive and very loud road noise and I was wearing ear plugs! The balcony is shared with direct access from the stairs, not secure at all to leave the slider door open for ventilation during the night. Loft bedroom was, therefore, even hotter. Master bath tub doesn’t drain. Two inches of dirty dishwater in machine after every wash. Stained sheets, dirty areas rugs, poor cleaning job. Found pretzels on the floor in master. Kitchen is tiny and pans are old and burnt up. Plenty of dishes though. If you plan to cook a lot, you should bring your own stuff. Refrigerator is more than adequate. Aesthetic of the unit is decent. Parking is horrible unless you get lucky with the first three spots or the few available on the right. Otherwise you have to park clear on the other side of the complex. Also four flights of stairs up was annoying and the HOA doesn’t maintain the outside very well as there was a lot of trash on the grounds and in stairwell. We had another unit rented in Tahoe City which suddenly became unavailable and Vacasa recommended this one, or one in Truckee. We opted for this one, but were very disappointed. I realize Vacasa cannot personally vet every property and they were gracious enough to refund two nights for our inconvenience. Kudos to them! But this unit is FAR from the 5 stars many have rated it.
Manager response:
Hi, Veronica! We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to read there were any frustrations to your stay. Housekeeping issues have been resolved with our staff, and the tub and dishwasher have both been repaired. Please note we do not list air conditioning as an available amenity for this home. Thank you!

Love the location and close proximity to Squaw Creek Resort and Squaw Valley for snow activities and of course the Village. Great family condo that was clean, roomy and homey too.

We came up to Lake Tahoe for a 40th anniversary trip, having never visited previously since we are relatively new to California. This is a lovely condominium, very clean and well provided. It is conveniently located near Tahoe City and very near Squaw Valley. We enjoyed visiting both places. There is a bike path just down and across the road from the complex, which we used to ride into Tahoe City. Squaw Valley is even closer, with many shops, restaurants and beautiful views. We really appreciated the laid back atmosphere of the area. The pool and hot tub and conveniently located to the unit. The unit sleeps 6, so it is great for families or other couples. The only recommendation I would have is that some dish towels/tea towels be provided in the kitchen. We bought some from the local Von's to use, but having them provided would be nice. We would definitely like to return to the area at some point.

The best condo we have stayed in during our 10+ ski trips. Very spacious, clean and we'll furnished and decorated. Loved huge fine art prints with skiing themes on walls of living room. Great for families. Hope to come again.

Cómodo y cercano. Cuenta con todo lo necesario para la pasar unas buenas vacaciones.
Stephanie M. Jan 2018
This property is exactly as pictured and even more! The location is walking distance or a short drive to the Village and Tahoe City is right around the corner for more to do. The home was incredibly clean and well maintained. The cooking items in the kitchen were in great condition and very clean. All of the bathrooms were well stocked with basic toiletries. The bedrooms were spacious and well kept.
There is plenty of room for a small or med family or group of friends with everyone getting their own space as needed. The kitchen and living areas were very cozy and perfect for lounging in the am or relaxing after a day of activity.
Highly recommend!

I usually stay in the village and was worried that staying away would be a hassle. It's a 5 min drive down the road and it was great! Plenty of space and a great rate. Easy to work with Vacasa throughout the whole process!

Thank you!
