Fuel your adventurous spirit at the Blue Pine Chalet! Perfect for multiple families or groups of outdoor enthusiasts, the home has been designed and decorated to cater to families with children and recreationalists as that’s what we are, and what we know best. The proximity of outdoor activities is something you won't be able to find elsewhere! The Cross-Town Trail is directly across the street and the Summit Ski Area is at the end of the road. This gives guests access to ride bikes, ski, or snowboard at Timberline Lodge just out the front door. For beginner skiers and snowboarders in the group, Summit Ski Area is easily accessible. There is no time wasted packing kids and ski gear into cars as Timberline Lodge, Summit Ski Area or Mt Hood Ski Bowl are all accessible via walking or shuttle straight out the front door! Entry ways into the chalet have storage for boots, jackets, helmets, and gear. The owners even included a bike washing station and racking system with locks for summertime guests. If skiing or biking isn’t your thing, the trails give you access to hiking, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing. The home is also within walking distance of town where you can find restaurants and shopping.

This beautiful home just completed a full remodel of the 1989 Austrian-inspired chalet. The décor is designed to be modern, but comfortable so that guests can fully relax and enjoy their time. The interior showcases the blue pine walls and large open beams from the open loft to the living room. The floor plan boasts three full living spaces including loft, main living room, and basement living room. The Chalet is equipped with free WiFi and TVs, two full baths, and laundry on site. The kitchen has all new appliances and is fully equipped so that guests can cook and entertain during their stay. There are two large gas fireplaces that you can cozy up to and watch a movie or read a book, a large deck out back with a view of ski bowl, a gas grill, and a private outdoor hot tub, and a pool table in the loft that will provide hours of inside entertainment.

Great layout. Very modern/up-to-date layout and amenities. Hot tub and many things about the place at a higher quality level than other places we've been to in the area. As usual excellent support from Vacasa on the typical "where is this? how does that work?" questions.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Blue Pine Chalet. It was a perfect jumping-off point for a 3-day snowboarding trip.

The house was very nice, clean, plenty of room, spacious kitchen, everything worked well, lots of nice features, plenty of comfortable furniture, nice linens, good appliances, nice location, just right for our purposes.

Considering the cost, the owners should re-outfit the kitchen. Everything in the kitchen is mismatched, the utensils are a haphazard mishmash, totally incomplete. Made cooking and baking in the nice big kitchen much less fun than it should have been. Considering the expense of the property, and compared to other places we've stayed, it's a big oversight. A better-outfitted kitchen would have landed this stay 5 stars.

We do look forward to returning next year, hopefully the kitchen implements will be updated by then.
Manager response:
Hi, Paul! We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and apologize if the kitchen was a disappointment. We are discussing your comments with the homeowner so they can consider improvements. Thank you!

Fantastic location! Plenty of parking! Great facility! Awesome deck and hot tub! I highly recommend. What could have made it perfect? Swap the two bunk beds between the loft and lower bedroom. The one in the loft has a double size lower bunk and should be in the bedroom for a couple to use. The bunk beds with the two singles should be in the loft. As it is, one of our couples had to sleep in a bedroom with the singles bunk bed. The loft already has a queen bed up there, so move the double that’s up there to the bedroom. It’s simple and smarter. In this way, 4 couples can all have their own private sleeping space with a bed that accommodates 2 people. The only other thing I wish could change is the late (4pm) check-in, and the early (10am) check-out. But I’d easily rent this place again, and hopefully will soon, just as it is.
Manager response:
Thank you for your valuable suggestions for improvement, Robert. We have shared your review with our local manager for consideration. Due to COVID19, we have had to change checkout and check-in times to give the housekeeping staff enough time to do a thorough clean and give the home some rest time between guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our home. We hope to host you again soon.

I TOOK MY FAMILY THEIR FIR A 4 day adventure and time to grieve as well, our mother passed in a tragic accident September 2021.. the holidays were not the same.. at Blue Pine Chalet.. we had everything at our fingertips where we celebrated Christmas in January with tributes to our mother with a fully equipped kitchen where as a family we were able to bake her famous peanut butter cookies so we could pass this legacy on.. we had a bingo and gift exchange in the game room.. we enjoyed the hot tub and told stories of our mom. . Their was 3 levels that could separate all the dynamics of kids, married couples.. and so fourth. Situated in Beautiful Government Camp with SPECTACULAR Views of Mt Hood.. this home will forever rest in our hearts!

This place is great for a family! So much space, pool table, hot tub, TVs and sectionals in multiple areas. The only thing I wish is it accepted 4 dogs instead of 2.
