This place is truly as nice as it looks in the photos! The balcony with that amazing view is what makes it so special though I was happy to discover that there is also a view from upstairs. The spiral staircase can be a bit challenging for some dogs (mine went up fine but was scared to come down at first; he adjusted though). The condo has supplies needed for cooking and is quite comfortable.

Condo layout and location as described in listing. Good home base for exploring Rogue River and Boardman corridor. Building was quiet. Great shower. Restaurant across the street is good plus my husband was able to chat with locals at the bar. Thanks to another reviewer for suggesting bringing a blanket.

"Hair dryer" needs to be removed from listing info. There is no hair dryer.

The property was stunning, exactly as pictured. It was clean and modern and the view was striking. That's the good news.

However, it's as if no one looked out for details. Examples: plugs in sockets didn't work in several places. We thought the TV didn't work because it said "no signal" when we turned it on. However, it was that the 2nd plug in the SAME socket was on a totally different circuit and needed to be activated from the opposite side of the condo (huh?). No hot pads to remove anything from the stove. Despite what the description said, there was no toaster. No basket for the coffee maker so you had to place the filter very carefully and clean grinds out of your coffee. Absolutely no seasoning or condiments - including salt and pepper (although there were empty containers there for us). There was only 1 really low watt bulb for the whole 2nd floor so you couldn't use the desk (not enough light). No wastebaskets on the 2nd floor. No tissues anywhere. The shower door was hanging precariously from the track. The only mirror in the whole place was the one in the bathroom. There was only 1 chair on the balcony (I presume the 2nd guest was supposed to stand).

Like I said, beautiful place but no attention to making it "homey." It was sterile, as if designed by computer.

Finally, their communication is horrendous. Email only gets automated replies at first. Then, the day after we arrived, the questions I sent in a week before, were finally answered. When I called for help, I was told I should have read the "digital profile" I was sent. (I did; there was nothing there about my concerns; plus that was condescending.) Most of the confusion could have been resolved by notes around the condo, such as "to turn on Roku, use the switch on the other wall." We've stayed at countless places like this; everyone does that. I was told they don't (despite the fact that there were SOME written notes.)

We did hear from the local guy because he heard we called about the TV but had not also been told we called about the toaster, coffee maker, and shower. To his credit (he was great) he went out and bought us a toaster and a coffee maker basket. He also promised us a discount for the inconvenience (but we didn't get it).

The company seems overwhelmed and they seem to have forgotten that Job One is treating your guests with courtesy and understanding. Should they do that, I'd give it 5 stars; after all, there's more to a getaway than a place to lay your head.

Our property manager has inspected the plugs in sockets and they all seem to be working. We will add hot pads to the kitchen and will talk to the owner about adding more light to the second floor and adding more chairs to the balcony. We are so sorry to learn that you had a negative experience trying to communicate with us. The view was spectacular and the value was phenomenal. Private condo setting directly overlooking the Rogue River with a view of the bridge heading into Gold Beach. We even saw seals about 50 ft away from the back deck. The windows are large and facing southeast, so bring your eye mask if you want to sleep in. You won’t though.. go check out the beautiful beaches and look for stones while watching out for sneaker waves! Look up the tides before venturing out. One could spend the entire day just driving up and down the coast, with this nice space to return to. The living room tv wasn’t working, but we were too tired to sit on the couch after exploring all day. There was a retro fire place that we would have used if it were colder, but the AC heater worked just fine. I would stay here again and recommend this spot! I stayed at another Vacasa rental the week before this one, and it seems that the units are locally maintained and while that one lacked in cleanliness and working amenities, this one was well-maintained and fresh.
