Today, its 2,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor living space include new tile and fixtures, elevator access, new mahogany trim, custom coconut-husk paneling in the living room and kitchen, custom wave paneling in the bedrooms, and new furnishings by Tommy Bahama Home throughout. The kitchen boasts all-new appliances, a deep copper sink, and both carafe and Keurig coffee makers. There's a breakfast bar for four, a circular dining table for six, and an expansive lanai where you can enjoy breakfast and the soft sounds of the running stream below.

Additional amenities include a primary bedroom suite with a spa-like private bathroom, a guest room with direct access to the lanai, flatscreen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms, a new stacked washer/dryer, and central air conditioning throughout.

Guests can use the shared pool, hot tub, fitness gym, BBQ grill area, and elevator at the complex. The home also has a private entrance with a lit path, lanai, kitchen, WiFi, washer, dryer, and air conditioning. Some resort facilities are operated independently by the resort.

The wider Kohala Coast opens up for beach hopping, snorkeling, and sunset drives, while Waikoloa itself feels relaxed and practical. It is a strong base for travelers who want the Big Island's dry, beach-forward side.

Getting around:
Kona International Airport (KOA) is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Waikoloa along the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended for beaches, restaurants, and resort shopping. Some dining and shops within Waikoloa Beach Resort are walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or at local properties.
