Recent Black Hills - South Dakota guest reviews

We have stayed here several times and this home is by far the most comfortable and well designed!! We will definitely be back again!!
Caitlin Y. | Feb 2026
This house checked all of the boxes for our 2 families! Less than 1/4 mile from Terry Peak which made easy access for multiple days of skiing. The most well stocked kitchen I have ever experienced in a rental property. The kids loved having the bonus loft area. Cabin was well equipped for all the family gaming after a long day of skiing. The heated garage was fantastic for darts and ping pong. Heated bathroom floors felt luxurious. 10/10 recommend Lost Buffalo Lodge!

The house was very clean, plenty of places to sleep and lots of towels! Kids loved the pool and hot tubs. The adults loved all the room and kitchen was very well stocked.

The fun all begins with a Black Hills vacation rental. The Black Hills are an isolated mountain range extending from South Dakota to Wyoming, with the inclusion of the Badlands National Park, Mount Rushmore, and the Black Hills National Forest. Venture out to ghost towns or charming mountain towns, pan for gold at the Black Hills Mining Museum, and sightsee elk and buffalo near Custer State Park.

Find yourself home on the range, with comfortable stays and convenient access to all the trails and attractions. The area attracts history buffs, outdoor enthusiasts, and families hopping from landmark to landmark or slowing down to nature’s pace. Tour the landscape by the 1880 Train, time your trip to catch the Hot Air Balloon Festival, and if you’re traveling with kids, don’t miss the Reptile Garden.
