We are farmers in Iowa, winter is our slow season, and Florida is our favorite winter destination. We found this home on Vacasa after another beach house was booked before we could complete our checkout. I would say that was a blessing in disguise! This house was perfect for us. We were able to decompress and relax the entire time we were there. I would recommend paying for the pool heat if you are going when the weather is 75 degrees or below! We thought we could handle the colder water, but quickly realized that it was too cold. It was anywhere from 65-79 degrees while we were here. We were able to get the pool heat turned on and paid for, and enjoyed the pool the rest of our trip. The house has everything you could want or need, with Walmart near by for anything you may have missed. We did several Walmart deliveries and used DoorDash for any meals we didn't want to leave the pool to go get. Location is great, easy drive to the beaches. We had a blast fishing off the dock, caught a little catfish and tarpon. We also utilized the kayaks on our last day there, forgot to close one plug on one of the kayaks and I ended up in the canal. Thankfully, the canal is not deep (where I flipped it came about waist high) and fairly clean. We would definitely stay here again! We even went as far as looking at some of the houses for sale in the area online..lol Thank you for a great vacation, sad to be back home in Iowa in 20 degree weather. We will be back!
