I would give this unit 6 stars for location if I could. It is an easy walk to the Gondola in The Village even in Ski Boots carrying your equipment and your kids skis at the same time. The unit has a very seventies vibe. It seems to have many original elements from the period and also many upgrades that embrace the theme (the carpet seems pretty new, but is a shag burnt orange that embraces the theme). In a few places the unit shows its age which might not make it right for picky visitors, but its quite clean and many will appreciate its retro vibe. I'm taking a star off since many of the amenities are somewhat chintzy. There is a lot of stuff in the kitchen that feels like it came from a dollar store. No matches are provided even though they promote a wood burning fireplace. I asked about this and was told it's a fire hazard. (I'm sure I've gotten matches at other vacation rentals) Also note that the wood burning fireplace is actually a wood stove so you dont really get the roaring/crackling fire vibe, but it does put out good heat and I assume is a little friendlier on the local air quality. In general, if location is your primary objective, this place is for you. If you have upscale tastes, you may need to manage your expectations.

Our 3 boys had such a great time at the Mortiz residence. The place is perfect for families: the space is well distributed, the outdoor for biking, skating or enjoying BBCs, the main residence building to play ping-pong, enjoy the pool table or hop in the jacuzzi. The place was clean, welcoming and wifi worked well enough for my husband to work remotely. Thank you Vacasa Team!

Stayed here for a snowboarding trip and it was great! It’s walking distance from a bus stop that’ll take you to and from the main lodge, so I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere to stay specifically for a ski trip. Check in was very easy and we had no problems during our stay. Wifi, TVs and heaters worked great and the place was clean. Would stay here again!
