We had to make a quick trip to the area, and a quick exit thanks to the wonderful winter storm rolling into the area; however, the accommodations could not have been better. The house was clean, quiet, and spacious. Everyone loved it! The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond to us when needed. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future visits.

When we arrived, we were all excited. We counted the days down until it was time to go. The grandkids couldn't wait to have the pool and hot tub. When we go there everything looked good. The thing we found off was the cushions for the patio furniture was outside already and wet. Second thing the grass was a little high. The mosquitoes were biting like crazy. We know there might be some but not like this. I sent a message before we arrived to see if they could get the grass cut before arriving and it wasn't done. My husband went and rented a lawn mower and weed wackier. He cut the grass and pulled out the weeds he could and cut the rest. I did advice the owners so they could have the person that does the lawn to wait. The mower person showed up the next day and it was already done. On the 24th it got windy, we were all inside and heard a bang. We went outside and put of the fence entrance to the backyard fell. My husband went and got a 2 by 4 and fixed the fence. We could call about every nook and cranny. My husband just went around and fixed what needed to be fixed. We also found crumbs of food in the lower cabins by the refrigerator. It makes it hard when the owner of the property doesn't see what the problems are before the next tenant comes in. Don't get me wrong, we still enjoy going there. They accommodated us by putting on the hot tub, when we asked. The only problem we had with the hot tub was. We asked for it to be put on between 10-11 pm and shut down @ 1am. We got a message from the owner stating," you go it". But it would be shutting off around 11 pm. The communication could have been better with that. You can still make things fun when there are issues or not. We were still able to relax. Thank you.

My husband and I drove up from North Carolina to visit our children who live in the area. We initially looked to book a hotel but the amount of that stay ended up being more expensive than staying at The New Jersey Abode! Also we wanted to have a place that is comfortable for everyone to "chill" after dinner or a walk on the nearby boardwalk. Everything in the home was easy to find. We used Instacart to stock up on groceries and snacks. When we ventured out, there were lots of places to eat nearby (walking distance even). We also took in a stroll by the Sandy Hook Lighthouse and had a sunset dinner at the restaurant there (forgot the name). This is a perfect stay for a couple. The bed was SUPER comfy. I slept like a rock (if rocks could sleep) and got plenty of rest for the drive back home. I highly recommend this for a quiet getaway that is near water and if you go, do not forget to walk up to Mambo Nando's for some delicious Puerto Rican food! We also had Bagel Nook almost every day for breakfast and dinners at Half Moon and First Wok (delivery). We recommend all. The home and the area made for a fantastic visit with the family. Thank you!
