Cottage

The lake house was beautiful! There was an ample amount of living space for everyone. We went at a weird time (too cold for water, too hot for slopes) so we spent a good portion of our week long trip in the house as the weather was also a bit rainy. Unfortunately, a lot of the things that had originally attracted us to this house didn’t work. It was my fiancé’s birthday trip and she had never had a real s'more before. Well, the fire-pit wasn’t working. What was also really confusing about that though was there were lots of burn ban notices on the way up and things here and there that said no outdoor fires but they also had a rule book that stated if we wanted to use the gas fire pit we would have to supply the gas, which we did and just had no luck with it. My sister-in-law did also singe some of her eyebrows, eyelashes and hair trying to help me light the gas grill as the starter was also broken on that. From there, the air-hockey table didn’t work either. We tried plugging it in, messing with all of the buttons and just couldn’t get it to work. The pac-man old school game also has sticky buttons so lots of people were a bit frustrated playing that. My sister-in-law and brother stayed in the Queen sized bed on the main level that they stated was rather uncomfortable. We had two girls in the kids room on the bunk-bed which was RATHER unstable. Just sitting on the bottom or climbing to the top had it swaying. Everything else was great. All of the kitchen utensils needed to cook/bake are available. The King sized bed in the master was very comfy. There was a couch and two loveseats in the main level living room which provided more than enough sitting space. I LOVED all of the windows and natural lighting the house had to offer. They also provided a Dyson vacuum that was extremely nice to have with three kids, four adults and a pup. Even with all of its issues, the kids didn’t wanna leave and I would go again. Thank you for opening your lake house to us!
