Location was perfect. The property was well-maintained and stocked. We will probably be back!

For some reason, only thought we were getting 3 rooms, but got 4/4!. Everything was clean and very comfortable. Popcorn maker for movies on the big screen was a nice touch. Many places to eat or have a cocktail within walking distance. Very much recommend.

First, I’ll start with location m, which was great. The house was walking distance to several coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, pizza parlors & ice cream shops. There was even a park near by. The neighborhood was lively, in a good way. We saw some many people walking, exercising, bike riding, walking their dogs. Everyone was friendly and we felt very safe. The house itself was beautiful. Very clean, spacious, and all the amenities you could hope for. TVs in every room, extra air mattresses in the closets, coffee machines, WiFi, and awesome jacuzzi out back that we enjoyed nightly. Upstairs they had some fun games for the kids, like air hockey, pool, & foosball. Plus a huge projection screen with a big comfy couch, perfect for watching a movie together at the end of the night. The A/C was nice and cold and the house was very clean when we arrived. They also had a nice patio out front with 2 chairs, perfect for having your morning coffee or a nightcap. If I had any complaints, and it’s hard for me to even call it a complaint, would be the lack of pool towels for the spa - we just used the shower towels and 1 upstairs bedroom TV was locked with a user code, so you could not access any apps at all on it or watch anything. We brought out own Apple TV and connected it, so it was a non-issue but would have been a bummer for our oldest son who stayed in that room. All in all, I would say it was a 5-star stay and would 100% stay there again and recommend it to friends & family. Extremely satisfied.

The James River parks, the Canal Walk, the Civil War history, and a street mural scene that covers entire Jackson Ward buildings make Richmond a city that rewards deep exploration in every direction.

What you'll love about Richmond

The James River's Class III and IV rapids flowing through an urban national park—within walking distance of the State Capitol—is one of the most genuinely surprising outdoor experiences in any American city.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is open 365 days a year with free general admission and houses one of the finest collections in the country, including the Fabergé Imperial Easter Eggs. Carytown's 10 independent blocks, the Canal Walk's historic waterway, the Civil War Museum at Tredegar, and a street mural scene of real quality round out a city that makes this city worth exploring over and over again.

Local tips

Whitewater downtown, world-class art, and a city fully alive

In the heart of Virginia, Richmond is a city that has been rewriting its story with remarkable energy and intention. Virginia's capital since 1780, Richmond today is best known for world-class whitewater kayaking through the heart of a major American city, a James Beard-celebrated culinary scene, the extraordinary Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and a street mural scene that covers entire buildings with extraordinary art.

Few American cities offer more layered discovery per block.
