Recent Rosarito guest reviews

The property meet my expectations. It was a family trip and we all enjoyed the outdoor area. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and clean. We asked guest services for an outdoor grill to take it out to the beach and they responded promptly. I loved that they are pet friendly. The inside house was well kept. The only downfall was the largest room with the 3 big beds. It got kind of stuffy inside, specially at night time. Needs some kind of vent. But another than that the place was great. Guest services is always doing rounds in case guest has needs or questions. We will definitely go back next year.

Clean and felt pretty safe

Overall, the home met our needs for the trip and was within walking distance of downtown (which was a priority). The biggest issue we had was with management. When we arrived we were hoping to take showers, but neither of the handles in BOTH showers would turn (and believe me we tried pulling in every direction and put as much force as we felt comfortable doing for fear of breaking either the handles or tiles). Having worked in property management I know that Vacassa is basically a big corporate management group, so I was expecting that reporting an issue would be a hassle - however, it was worse than even I expected. We reported the issue the evening of our arrival and again the morning/afternoon after (having had no one arrive yet to look at the issue). Both times we were simply routed to a call center where they said they were "putting in a maintenance request" but could never give us any other information as far as when we could expect it to be resolved or if there was even a way for them to contact the owner to ask if there was some sort of "trick" to using the showers. In the end, we forewent showering for the day but did (LUCKILY!) happen to run into a maintenance man, presumably for the complex, on our way out.. We were able to explain the issue to him and he came into the condo and was able to get them working - the issue seemed to be heavy corrosion. The three of us where still thankful we hadn't tried to put in as much force as he had to, since we had no way of knowing which way we needed to pull. It did seem like no one had been in the unit for quite a while, so this was probably the result of that. In case this does happen to anyone else, you'll need to pull REALLY hard to the RIGHT. And maybe Vascassa should make note of this so that they could actually *help* other guests should they encounter the same problem? It definitely wasn't ideal not being able to shower our first day. Besides the headache of poor management, I'd be happy to recommend this property. Nice rooftop/view, onsite pool/hot tub (although there seemed to be a wedding or some other event going on the weekend we were there so we weren't able to use these amenities) and easy beach access. Perhaps one more thing to note is that check in instructions are very vague - I'd tried reaching out day of check in to get entry instructions and never received a response. Luckily, when we arrive the security at the gate had this info for us.
