Oceanfront home w/tidepools in yard, short drive to sand!
Boasting panoramic ocean views, a recently remodeled interior, and all the modern comforts you could desire, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom Yachats vacation rental has it all! From morning whale-watching and coffee on the oceanview deck to snuggling in front of a cozy fire, you'll want to plan your next Oregon Coast getaway at this amenity-filled, oceanfront retreat.
This Oregon Coast vacation rental is located in a quiet neighborhood, along a charming cul-de-sac. You can easily walk to town or to the beach from here. While beach access is sometimes available right from the property via a short but quite rugged trail, please be advised that the path may not be accessible at all times of year due to erosion and seasonal changes. Easier access is available just a mile away at the Yachats State Recreation Area.
When you arrive at this Yachats vacation home, you'll feel your stress and worries start to melt away. Get comfortable at the window seat and use the binoculars to look for ocean life, curl up on the couch with a good book, or watch some satellite cable or a DVD on one of the four TVs (there are also four VCRs here). The living room is also a perfect spot to watch a dramatic winter storm, while you stay nice and cozy indoors, in front of the fire.
Here you will have modern comforts like a bonus TV/game room, a collection of DVDs and games, a work area, WiFi, and space for everyone to spread out and relax. There's even a washer and dryer for making sure everyone has clean socks while on vacation.
Set a place for everyone at the wooden dining table and if you need extra spots, there's the breakfast bar for a few more. You can set up an adults and a kids table here with ease. And when it is time to get dinner on the table, the full and modern kitchen has a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Warm up leftovers, make a big pot of pasta, or use the charcoal grill out on the deck for an outdoor, oceanside cookout.
After your dinner, turn on the fireplace and watch a stunning sunset out the windows, or stay on the deck and watch from it the built-in bench. This spot is a perfect place to spend an early morning doing yoga stretches or finishing the last of the wine at night. No matter what you do, you'll have stunning ocean views as a backdrop.
The two stylish bedrooms here also have views of the water, TVs, and queen-size beds. Additionally, there's a twin bed and a sleeper sofa making this charming vacation home ideal for up to seven guests. The lower level bathroom features grab bars and the wheel chair ramp at the entrance also make this property elder-friendly.
When you do get down on the sand, this quiet, peaceful beach offers long stretches of sand, seasonal whale watching, basalt headlands, blowholes, and tide pools. Hunt for agates or just relax on the sand with a picnic lunch. Walk along the historic 804 Trail - it runs along the ocean from the north end of town, all the way to Yachats State Park.
On days you don't want to cook, visit one of Yachats numerous restaurants - The Drift Inn, Green Salmon Coffee House & Bakery, and Outta Gas Pizza just to name a few. Or stop by The Wine Place for a bottle of wine and some snacks to bring back home and enjoy later.
Just south of Yachats, you can explore Cape Perpetua Scenic area and its magnificent ocean viewpoints. There are over 25 miles of interconnected hiking trails to explore here, as well as a Visitors Center for exhibits and guided walking tours.
Whether you storm watch in the winter or have fun in the sun, your time at this Central Oregon Coast vacation home will be memorable for everyone in your group. Families, friends, or a bit of both will enjoy relaxing right by the shore in the peaceful oceanside town of Yachats.
Yachats TRL #64-VR
A great place to stay south of town. Very quiet and right on the ocean. It is a 1 mile walk to town, and the trail access to Cape Perpetua is very close by.
This is a well stocked, well kept house. The house sits at the end of the road right on the coast. The views are wonderful any time of day. Kitchen is able to accommodate more than one cook and there’s plenty of space to read, play cards or watch tv.
Exterior of house is ugly but interior is pretty nice. The beds could be more comfortable though - seems like maybe they are old. The roll away is a joke - old, extremely uncomfortable. Great location. Nice, little town. Good hikes, parks and beaches nearby. I'd stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay here. So beautiful and so peaceful. Nice comfy home. Very relaxing.
Yachats, is easily one of our favorite spots on the Oregon Coast. The Sea Rock Retreat is situated perfectly on the edge of town, close, but not too close. The scenery is impressive with a spectacular ocean view and easy access to Cape Perpetua. The home made us feel welcome and had most everything we needed. Definitely worth a visit or two.
The panoramic view of waves breaking on black lava rocks was a fascinating show, no matter how high or low the tide was. We could also see whales spouting in the ocean while sitting in the living room. The house is snug, and with windows closed, the sound of the surf is not overpowering. One of us had a difficult time with the pillows on the beds -- either too thin or two thick and hard. You might want to bring your own pillow.
We spent a weekend quilting and enjoying the ocean waves crashing against the rocks. A cozy and warm retreat.
Nice views, clean and cozy. Great home to relax.
Perfect place to celebrate my birthday , it was simply perfect .
The view, the warmth, the location
I will visit the rock again.
Location very close to waves crashing against rocks. Comfortable accommodations and good location near Yachats food, drinks, and gifts.
The view was amazing and the access to the tidepools couldn’t be closer! It was the whole reason we went to Yachats.
My husband and I were looking for a special place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We have stayed in Yachats several other times but this home made us feel like we belonged.
So rewarding to watch the big waves on the rocks. Fabulous view, particularly as storms roll in. Even lights on the beach for after dark viewing.
House is good size and well appointed. Wish windows were clearer. Garage parking is great given variable weather.
Great to see the waves, wind, clouds and birds in panorama mode. House is well set up for guests, can hike from there to Perpetua, and into town on trails.
We came from Seattle and met up with family from Sacramento and also hauled our trailer and quads. The house was only about 20 minutes away from Florence dunes and we loved the garage so we could park our toys while we explored....and it was so fun exploring the tide pools and even sitting on the deck watching the whales play and the waves crash against the rocks. There wasn't too much to do in Yachats, but if you're there to get some rest and relaxation, this is the place for you. All the kitchen items, bedding, linens, etc was easily available throughout the house and there weren't too many rules or restrictions. We also loved how all seven of us were comfortable in the home. This was our first Vacasa rental rental and it was very easy with no issues to reserve. We hope to be back again soon :-)
Spent two nights at the Sea Rock home ... we left wishing we would have stayed longer. Such a beautiful, tranquil location. I highly recommend staying here.
The views are spectacular. You can just sit and watch the waves crash against the rocks all day.
There was a problem with opening the front door, it was stuck, Vacasa sent their local property management rep and he fixed the front door to prevent problems in the future. He was friendly and helpful.
The place is clean and comfortable. The view is wonderful. It is quiet and relaxing.
NOTES - there is only salt, pepper and spices so bring everything for cooking, including oil. There are all the utensils and pots/pans you need. The owners are sign happy and remind you how to open the blinds a lot among other things. It gets windy because you are right near the ocean. There is no direct access to the shore below. There is a "pseudo" path but you take it at your own risk. The porch area is small with only a small bench so bring chairs.
The house was very comfortable and open; it met all of our needs. The large windows across the back of the home made it a continuous ocean-front experience.
The location was great for us. We like to walk. We also like to explore, and it was a new part of the coastline for us. A view from almost every room and it is warm and cozy.
Overall this was a very comfy home with amazing views of the ocean. We saw whales every day and really appreciated the binoculars that were on the windowsill so we could get a close-up view.
Great House with an incredible view!!!
The surf view! We're lifetime Oregonians and OR Coast lovers; have stayed in lots of different places; owned a house south of Waldport for 12 years. Sea Rock was the best. Our guests from New York City were blown away by the location and accommodation.
Sea Rock is a beautiful 'cottage' on the Oregon Coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - especially waking up to the magnificent views of the ocean each morning.
This house has locks on 90% of the cupboards the owners food was in trash bags with duct tape inside fridge and freezer. The doors do not shut without being locked. Your not allowed to wear shoes in the house. The pillows were flat and lacking stuffing. They were seriously horrible.
The location of the house is perfect. The view does not get any better.
I would not recommend this house to my family.
We are sorry to see there were some disappointments experienced during this visit. The owner does often use the house and will leave their items in the home from time to time. We will ask them about replacing the pillows. Thank you!
Sea Rock is a beautiful home on a great chunk of coast. Very private and to can't beat the view. Truly an enjoyable vacation spot.
The house is situated so guests can enjoy the oceon in privacy. The views and the sound of the oceon crashing onto the rocky coast was amazing. The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Neighbors were friendly and gave us our privacy. The whale watching from the deck was unbelievable.
My wife and I (30 weeks pregnant) stayed here for 3 days on a baby moon. It was the perfect location from Yachats. We were both impressed by the proximity to tide pools every morning. I was able to take a ton of photographs from the rocks themselves with the tide crashing over the rocks. We found the cottage to be very comfortable for two of us and had plenty of room for about 6 more. It was great to be able to use the laundry too. I would stay here again if we make it to the Oregon coast again! Very private. The construction guys were working on the house next door during the day, they were very considerate and friendly.
Really loved staying here. First stay in Yachats and it was perfect!
love the town and the ocean literally outside the house. Great to open up all the windows and be woken up by the tide, just amazing. Love the small town and scenery around the house, will be back.
Yachats is my favorite coast town and this is my new favorite place to stay. My sister came out from Kentucky for the Sisters Folk Festival in Sisters, and this was her first time at the Oregon Coast. The folk festival was cancelled because of the smoke-filled skies over there so we stayed an extra night for a total of 4 nights. The home is lovely with lots of space and offered us privacy and places to spend time alone when needed. The view is spectacular, and even the grey rainy days did not detract from the pleasure of just being at the rocky edge of the ocean. Heaven on earth, truly.
This is a great vacation rental in Yachats.
Very clean and nicely equipped. Very good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Fantastic location on the rocky coast, and only a 1-mile walk into town! You can pick up the Oregon Coast Trail at the end of the block and hike up to the Cape Perpetua Overlook (a strenous but non-technical hike) and then down to the visitor's center and Thor's Well/Devil's Churn.
The owners have left plenty of instructions on how to operate everything.
This was our second trip to Yachats, and the family agreed we would definitely rent Sea Rock again.
This is our third time to Yachats and this view was fantastic. In a very nice part of town. House is comfortable although layout took some getting used to. We will plan to come to Yachats again but maybe a different home if we plan a longer stay.
very nice home on the ocean near town and other sight-seeing and hiking trails.
our family of 6 was very comfortable here. we could see whales from shore.
Cape Perpetua is a lovely hike.
House was fantastic! We were right on the ocean and saw sea lions, gray whales, and birds. Spent a day checking the tide pools close to the house. It is located near several attractions and in the quaint little town of Yachats.
We were 5 ladies vacationing for a week and the house accommodated us well. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and had the convenience of garage parking.
We stayed for a few days in October and had a great time. The ocean view is unbeatable and our kids loved playing in the tide pools.
Wonderful views from the living room windows. Very clean and a wonderfully
stocked kitchen with any type of utensil or pan you would need!
This home's proximity to the ocean is spectacular! Morning coffee on the porch was one of my favorite moments. The town of Yachats is also a lot of fun, and an easy path runs from the house into town. I would go back in a heartbeat, and did not want to leave!
We spent 5 days here with our kids and my husbands parents. It was a perfect place to get away. The views are just lovely, we saw whales and enjoyed the waves crashing on the rocks. The tide pools are just out the back door and we found many agates on our walks. The Sandy beach is just down the street and there were several wonderful restaurants in town. The kitchen had every appliance we could want and we cooked several nice meals to enjoy together. I am planning to stay here again next summer. It was the perfect get away!
Just fine! Only problem was that the upstairs bedroom windows will not open. Apparently the mechanisms are rusted shut.
The location and view were spectacular. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee ( or glass of wine) and watching the waves crash against the rocks just a few feet away was wonderfully relaxing. We spent hours watching whales and sea lions right from the property and appreciated the binoculars There were some light cleaning issues with the house-- nothing not remedied by a good vacuuming and dusting. We would stay there again for the location and view.
We love the solitude, the rocky coastline, the crashing waves. It's a lovely home and location.
The main living area was perfect for our 3-generation family and the bedroom was large and comfortable. Especially liked the roomy bathroom with the stacked washer and dryer. The 2nd floor is huge, but not so inviting - needs a little TLC. The windows were clouded so could not appreciate the views.
The views from the main level are among the BEST we have found along the central Oregon coast. Yachats is the perfect place if you like a small town with lots of good restaurants.
I was disappointed in the service from Vacasa, since they did not offer even a 1 hour late checkout without wanting to charge an extra $25 - when the house was obviously not rented the next night.
Thank you for leaving a review for us. We will get the windows cleaned up as best we can and see what we can do to make the entire home warm and welcoming for our guests. We are sorry to see that our late check-out policy did not work for you. We do offer late checkouts (when possible) at a discounted rate which then allows our guests to utilize the homes until midnight; at this point in time we do not prorate our late check-outs due to how we schedule housekeepers to make sure all homes are ready for incoming guests. We are glad to see that you enjoyed the views from the main floor and hope you made terrific memories!
What a wonderful trip to Yachats! House is beautiful and secluded for peaceful and relaxation! Great stop for us after 5 days on a Harley!!
This was the first leg of our trip and it was fabulous to be in a spot so beautiful and relaxing. We felt at home right away. There were many trails for us to wander very close by and some cute eateries in Yachats. The home was clean and the nice basket with the welcome treats was wonderful. We will definitely be back.
Had a fabulous stay at the Sea Rock! Definitely great for the price and very relaxing. Enjoyed watching the whales from the back deck as well as the harbor seals. Great digs, great waves, great time! Can't wait to stay here again...:]
This is not a fancy home, but it is clean and comfortable. And it's location - right on the ocean - can't be beat. The "welcome" basket of wine and snacks was a nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you so much for your kind review, please come visit us again soon!
As soon as you walk in the door, the sense of being in a comforting and happy home hits you- the decor, the layout, the lighting, the artwork, it was above and beyond my high expectations. As another reviewer says, the photos online don't do it full justice. House was impeccably clean! This home really is so much like being at our own house, with all the accommodating supplies in the kitchen, extra pillows, towels, blankets, soap for cleaning, dishes, showering, laundry, etc. The appliances were all in great shape and modern, no beat-up second-hand, on-it's-last-leg appliances or furniture or beds in this house. The view: just WOW! The view out the windows was incredible, and standing on the deck was a magnificent experience, the sound of the waves was so intense; invigorating yet so relaxing. We all loved it! Couldn't get enough, it was addictive to watch and listen all day and night. We brought groceries so we didn't need to eat out much (though if you need to go grocery shopping, there is a Fred Meyer north of Yachats only about 15 mins away), but don't miss out on the extraordinary food, atmosphere and service at Ona Restaurant which is only about a 2 minute drive away. The town of Yachats is quiet, beautiful, woodsy, and clean, with very nice people, lots of really neat shops to stop in and buy some keepsakes, it is an unforgettable treasure along the Oregon Coast, very fun to explore. I'm so glad we got to experience it! The only glitches were- we couldn't get the fireplace to work, the only two bathrooms are in the two bedrooms so it could get a bit awkward at night if you have more than two couples/family members, and the upstairs windows are all a little iffy whether they would open or not. However these minor issues did not detract from our stay. I wish I could hug the owners for being willing to share their home. We were on such a high the whole time staying in this wonderful home at this gorgeous location that we all felt a little manic-depressive as soon as we left. We will definitely be returning to Yachats for those beautiful crashing rocky shores. Thank you so much for our perfect weekend at Sea Rock Oceanfront!
Thanks for this great feedback. We love to hear that you felt at comfortable and at home during your stay. It's the ultimate compliment for a vacation rental. Clean, well appointed, comfortable and with amazing ocean views - this home is definitely a perfect spot for a coastal getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay in Yachats and the view from the house were amazing.
The house was comfortable for the three of us (11 month old baby).
Our only complain was the flexibility to check in earlier than 4pm. We came from Bend and after a long drive it would have been nice to put our son down for a nap - Other rental usually accommodate.
Overall, the house and it's location were great and will will come back.
Thank you for your review. We are very glad that your family enjoyed your trip to Yachats. It's great to hear that your family was comfortable in the home and that you enjoyed the views. Our apologies that we were unable to accommodate an early check in. We do make every effort to allow this when available, however we had guests checking out the day you were checking in which leaves only a small window for our housekeeping staff to prepare the home for you.
The Sea Rock was such a great find for our 18th anniversary weekend getaway. The scenery was awe inspiring. The house is very private despite what it may look like when you first drive up. If you are looking for a place to getaway from it all, and not have to worry about anything then this is the house for you. Small and cozy, but roomy at the same time. We will be back for more.
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We're so glad that you chose to spend your 18th anniversary with us. It's wonderful to hear that you were happy spending your special weekend in this cozy home. Please come back again!
