Very nice place. Lots of room. Very clean. Plenty of personality and charm. Little library amazing. We enjoyed our stay. I would definitely rent this place again.

Wood work.
Deck, after we shoveled 2’ if snow off from it.

This home was perfect for our ski weekend. The covered walkway was very unique. Large mud room and entryway. The great room kitchen, dining, living was just what we needed for socializing. The bedrooms were the perfect size for what we needed. The icing on the cake is the gorgeous spiral staircase that leads to a book nook and “game room”. The house location is a very short drive to the daylodge. We actually walked there for fun, but would be difficult wearing boots and carrying skis.
It’s right for the price and location.

This house had everything we were looking for: Master BR with comfortable King bed, two other bedrooms with enough beds for a few kids, and 2 1/2 baths.

The walkway from the driveway to the front of the house is covered and was cleared of snow before we came, and there are lights along the pathway.

The bedrooms and large laundry room and two bathrooms are in the basement level, but as it is built into the hill there are windows in all the rooms.

There is a nice arctic foyer with a coat rack and plenty of space for all our gear which is nice for skiing.

The loft upstairs is lovely with all the light coming in through the windows; there are a ton of books in the library lining the walls. It was not the most comfy seating up there so we mainly stayed in the middle (main level) with the kitchen and family room.

Toaster, Coffee maker, and pots/pans/dishes/utensils were all pretty good. Could have used a cookie sheet but made do with the broiler pan to heat up a pizza.

The house is obviously custom with the beautiful wood and stained glass window accents. Older but higher-end appliances such as large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, gas stovetop and full oven in the kitchen.

The heat worked well and we were never cold.

The water was nice and hot and we didn't run out of it despite several people taking showers.

Washer/dryer are newer and very nice.

The driveway is a bit hard in the winter. Not sure how to fit 2 cars there and still get in and out when the apartment is also being rented, but we didn't have to share it when we were there. The house and apartment were in totally different buildings so we didn't have to think about cross-ventilation with COVID.

It was quiet in the neighborhood and we slept well. I would definitely stay here again. It is obviously a well-thought out family home in great condition.

We loved staying at this beautiful Girdwood home! This was our second time staying here. It’s an amazing property. Private setting, beautiful home, and a lot of room to spread out!

House was super clean, well furnished, and in an ideal location both tucked in the woods yet easily accessible to town.

I loved how it was in the woods like a tree house and the house was nicely organized for us.

We absolutely loved this home. We had a family wedding in Girdwood on the 27th and it was just perfect for what we wanted. Even took an evening hike to Virgin Falls. There wasn't any coffee available but luckily we brought our own so that wasn't an issue. We will be back in August 2021 for another wedding and hope that this home is available as we will look to stay here before anywhere else. Kind of glad our other VRBO got cancelled on us :)

Really enjoyed staying here. The home was beautiful and clean while the location was quiet and scenic. The Vacasa staff was helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice Alaska hide out. The place was set up just right for sleeping a family of 5 or even a few more. Nice kitchen for cooking, great location 50 minutes away from anchorage and 45 minutes from Whittier.

This is a really beautiful house with lots of wood built-ins obviously built by a fine craftsman. It was more than enough room for two adult couples and 3 growing boys. The kitchen was very nice. Only lacked a salad spinner. The setting was beautiful. We never could get the DVD player to work which was a slight drawback for our grandsons. I thought we emailed Vacasa for tech help but never received a response. Everything else was great though the driveway should perhaps have a warning. Short and steep and although it had been plowed it needed shovel work. The walkway to the house was very icy in spots, especially for those of us in ski boots. All in all a very nice stay.

This house exceeded our expectations. We switched to this rental after issues with the one we originally rented and wish we had seen this one first. Will use again.

Beautiful house with such a unique personality and beautiful craftsmanship throughout. It was perfect for our group for our ski weekend in Girdwood, plenty of space and the upstairs loft is amazing area to chill and relax after a long day on the mountain!

This house was amazing. Lots of space, bedrooms are all downstairs with a futon in the upstairs loft/family room. It was bigger than I expected, well stocked, and very clean. Our kids loved the little library area with books and toys. We didn't want to leave!

We enjoyed our stay! A game table upstairs would be lovely! Home was very nice, multiple floor levels weren’t a problem for us but might be for some!

Location was wonderful, beautiful with all the amenities. Lots of space for a family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, wish we could have stayed longer.
