The Swede Alley Sanctuary is a true place of peace in downtown Park City. You could not ask for a better location. This historic cabin (shack?) is unique and stands out. Get used to everyone staring at you while you sit on your porch. It gets attention!

The cabin is small and certainly not intended for anyone with any sort of mobility issue. If the stairs don't get you, the bathtub will so please don't stay here unless you are very able-bodied.

Comfort and cleanliness were minor issues during my stay, which made sense as a "for sale" sign went up on my next to last day for a stunning $885K. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced and the cabin was not as clean as I would have expected. I had to replace some batteries and do some additional cleaning. The furniture on the patio is dreadfully uncomfortable, as is the kitchen table and chairs. Kitschy throwbacks don't have to be painfully uncomfortable. I brought some folding canvas chairs (like you would take to a tailgate) and that helped a lot. The yard is very nice as is the picnic table, but there were weeds everywhere and I had to trim the jungle back a bit. On the positive side, the WI-Fi was plenty fast for a week of "remote" working and the TV was great. The washer and dryer was a real treat!

Overall, this is a great place and a wonderful spot to enjoy downtown Park City and be part of a historic 114-year-old cabin. I would definitely stay here again but a week was plenty to live without some of the conveniences of a modern condo, such as a closet and non-treachours tub.
Manager response:
Jeffrey, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us following your stay. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time and this historic cottage. We are very sorry to hear about the issues you faced during your stay. We have passed your feedback along to our local manager who will address the items with housekeeping and the homeowner. We look forward to hosting you again!

147 Swede Alley is a great location to enjoy Main Street in Park City and to get to the ski runs at Park City Resort.

Right in the heart of Main St. A very unique rental. Perfect for a couple looking for a fun getaway with access to the heart of Park City.

Super cool, no-nonsense little cabin right downtown !

The decor is so lovely - authentic rustic touches and a well thought out plan for a compact space. Great space for solo traveler or a couple. The heat works very well in the historic cabin during a snowstorm, I was cozy warm. Plenty of fresh clean towels provided. Be warned for this surprise: no hairdryer - yikes! Great place for a quaint stay smack at the top of main street in Park City.

Super cozy and such a great location. It's a small house, but it packs in all you need, definitely recommend. On site parking is not available, but free public parking is a 3 minute walk up some city stairs behind the house.

Great location! Walk to everything. Easy to get to Deer Valley on city bus from town bus terminal—15 min door to door

This tiny cabin was super charming and very comfortable for one or two people. The fixtures and functionality of the home is top notch and the location couldnt be beat. Great view from porch. The tub was a delight after a long day of skiing and the kitchen was serviceable though small. There is little to no storage space for gear and parking is a problem so buyer beware! There is NO street parking and pay lot is expensive so we walked ten minutes to free lot. Also there’s a steep but entirely negotiable set of stairs up to house so be advised. We loved it but it was cramped when a friend stayed on the pullout couch one night. Would rent again for my husband and I in a heartbeat
Very romantic!

I couldn't have selected a better home rental in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival. It's nestled on a hill at the top of Main and is perfect for any access you might need. The home is well-equipped, well-appointed, and even cozy on the cold nights. Check in and check out was a breeze. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay (and the salt that magically appeared on the stairs each morning!)
