Cedar Breaks Lodge is located just a seven mile drive from the national monument of the same name. Even closer, you'll have the two mountains (Giant Steps and Navajo) of Brian Head Resort as a beautiful backdrop during your stay. And when you do feel like a bigger city atmosphere, Cedar City is only about a 40 minute drive away for shops, galleries, and more restaurant choices.
This cozy and elegant Brian Head getaway is ideal for up to two guests and has gas fireplace for chilly mountain evenings, a cloud-like king sized bed (including a feather pillow), and even an over-sized lounging chair for late night reading or sipping your morning coffee. A kitchenette area includes a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and a coffeemaker for simple meals or breakfasts on the go. Of course, right at the lodge you can grab a meal at either the Cedar Breaks Cafe or the Black Diamond Steak House. And in the spacious full bathroom, you'll enjoy granite accents, hardwood cabinets, and a large slate and glass walk-in shower for two.
Brian Head Resort in Southern Utah is a great escape year-round! Of course ski season is quite popular here - with two distinct ski areas, there are ski runs for every skill level. You'll also have tubing hills and cross country trails in the winter. But when the snow is gone, there is just as much to do at your Brian Head retreat! Go mountain biking, hiking, play disc golf at the resort, or take a scenic chairlift ride overlooking the red rock terrain.
At Cedar Breaks Lodge, you can be pampered at the spa, buy souvenirs at the Cedar Breaks Lodge Mercantile, or just relax in your comfortable and well-appointed Brian Head vacation condo.
Trips to Zion National Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and Bryce Canyon National Park are all within an hour's drive. And even closer is Panguitch Lake for boating and fishing or Cedar City for a day of shopping or even a play during the Utah Shakespeare Festival, June through October.
No matter when you visit, this Southern Utah vacation rental offers a great space in Brian Head for two! Whether you come to ski and snuggle in front of a cozy fireplace or mountain bike and tour the area's national parks, this Cedar Breaks Lodge studio will make your stay comfortable and convenient.
Amazing unit! Very clean! Had a little kitchen which is great to prepare meals.
A great weekend get away spot! Beautiful views from the mountain tops!
We loved everything about the unit, was very clean, had a beautiful view, and was decorated nicely. I would only suggest that maybe it is time to upgrade pillows and bedding in the room. The pillows were firm and lumpy and the sheets were rough, but the mattress was super comfy.
The resort amenities were OVERRUN with out of control screaming children the entire weekend. No parents or hotel management to step in and supervise. We visited the pool/hot tub/steam room/sauna but only stayed for 5 mins because there were about 30+ kids running around screaming, splashing, and incessantly running in and out of the steam room and sauna. Not relaxing at all, and really ruined our time. We came back the next day and it was the same situation. I really want to stress that this is not the place for a relaxing/romantic vacation. It is very very family friendly to the point where no one else could enjoy the amenities. Management at the front desk was not the most helpful, they seemed bothered, so we didn't even want to try to ask them to speak to the parents of the out of control children. Even when we went out for dinner and drinks at the resorts restaurant later that night there were screaming kids dominating the pool table area...in the bar. Yes kids in the bar...
We spent much of the time in the room and did really enjoy the room, but the resort needs some regulation and management in the common areas this place was like a daycare center...not what I was hoping for in a relaxing weekend. Seemed to cater more to families with children than couples or adults.
We are sorry to see this guest did not get the relaxing vacation they were hoping for. The shared areas are under the management of Cedar Breaks Lodge, and we recommend guests take any concerns to them to be addressed. Vacasa is always happy to help with any issues guests might be having with the unit they booked through us. Thank you!
Great accommodations - wish their was more snow!!!
We chose this location as it was fairly central to where we wanted to be.
Great location close to Bryce Canyon and Zion. Exceptional view. Great amenities and service.
Very comfortable will for sure stay again and again.
Good family skiing with excellent lift ticket prices. Apartment 3307 a good sized studio flat with kitchenette well located at the Cedar Breaks Lodge near the Navajo ski centre with handy underground parking garage.
Nice place. 3rd floor with elevator access
The room was not ready upon our arrival and there was a minimal amount of kitchen amenities. A few more pots and pans would be great. The staff at Cedar Breaks are awesome! From the front desk, our server in the restaurant to the maintenance crew. If you like warm, this is your place. We did not turn on the furnace once, even the night it dropped to -15 F. While there was a few inconveniences, our overall stay was great! The surroundings and the local people make you feel right at home.
Great room in great location
I got to experience the Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Brianhead Mountain. I didn't get the chance to do that last year, but I decided to stay an extra day and discovered that there was more to Brianhead than I had anticipated. I was not disappointed and the extra day was worth every minute. I walked a few trails and sometimes just explored my surroundings, but for me, just being outside was a pleasure. I will add that my corner of the world was very busy with couples and families and rented ATVs and much hiking/camping equipment, bicycles, access to coffee, and restaurant orders!! I met a few people who loved the outdoors as much as I do and, just like me, this was not their first 'rodeo' in Brian Head, and with the conversation eventually coming back around to the next time we plan to visit!
Comfortable bed and handy kitchenette. Good Value.
It was a fabulous spot to stay!
We stayed for 8 nights at Cedar Breaks Resort #3307. The centrality of the location and the beauty of the area made for a great adventure. Would highly recommend this unit as it is beautifully decorated and felt like home after long days of hikes and exploration. So close to the beauty of Cedar Breaks Canyon it was perfect. Be sure to drive or hike up Brian Head Mtn for a great view. Highly recommend this unit and location!
We enjoyed the central location between Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks. Also, it was spectacular to be able to go up to Cedar Breaks 15 minutes away for the sunset (we never did make a sunrise). It was great to leave behind the hot temperatures in the parks for the coolness of Brian Head mountain.
Very nice unit for two. Well appointed and affordable.
We had a great time .
The place was quiet and convenient access.
If you want to upgrade from a basic hotel room this unit is nice. The small kitchen unit was convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable

As far as location - it is nice. We woke up and drove to Zion for a few quick hikes then night skied at Brian Head. This place looks nice but every other thing seemed broken!!! The fan in the bathroom did not work, the clock on the wall did not work, the lamp on the table did not have a light bulb in it, the thermostat was broken - you have to take the face off of it to get it to work and there was no instructions on how to turn the fire on (turn the thermostat above 80 then flick the on light switch - someone told us about this). The bed had the most uncomfortable sheets on it and there were only 2 (TWO) pillows!
I'm not sure we'll be staying here again as there are several other options.
Thank you for sharing your review. We appreciate your detailed feedback and have shared it with our property manager so they can help make the home more comfortable for our guests. We hope that you get a chance to come stay with us again!
Unit had a lot of issues...the bedside lamps, ceiling fan, bathroom fan and hairdryer did not work.
Thank you for your review. We will have the Property Manager check these items and make sure they are in proper working order. We hope the location worked out well for you!
This room was so beautiful ! It was just perfect for 2-3 guest . My favorite room I have ever stayed in â¤ï¸ Very clean and basically felt like it was my own little home.
I was there for very different reasons than just a vacation, but the room was more awesome than the pictures (talk about cozy), and the view was worth more than the price I paid to be there. I read some other reviews commenting about small things in the room that were irritating, and maybe I could even agree to some extent, but whatever the issue, I made it work for me. So much so, that I extended my stay three more days; and I will be making plans to repeat the experience. Thanks Vacasa!!!
How this is Michelle, we had a wonderful stay at Brain Head....the room was great thank u so much....Michelle
Beautiful room and close to all of the mountain activities.
Unit was clean except the coffee maker and some pots and pans. Perfect unit for couple's getaway. Kitchen sink was tiny and no garbage disposal so drain was slow. Don't bring large vehicle. The garage has typical low ceiling and the parking spots are very small. A cargo carrier on a midsized suv may have clearance issues. There is parking available outside if needed. Unit was warm when I arrived. I opened windows and turned fan on and it cooled down within an hour. No ac so for the couple of days that is does get warm up there it would be hot. I was there in mid August and the temperature was in the mid 50's at night so it was nice with the windows open. There is a window fan available. Summer rate could have been 10% less due to maintenance being done on building and broken elevator.
I was aware that there would be no AC in the unit. However, I was lead to believe that because the unit was in the mountains the cool air would be sufficient. We arrived at about midnight to find the third floor room at close to 90 degrees. The windows were opened but the blinds completely closed so no air was coming in at all. We opened the blinds but it didn't help much. The ceiling fan rattled but we could not turn it off as there was absolutely no air movement. We were actually attending a Festival in Cedar City so the location was not that convenient but the nicer hotels in Cedar were all booked. We thought that this would be a better choice. While in Cedar we purchase a fan that we put in the window for the next two nights. It was much better. There really needs to be better information about the fact that there is no AC and that the room is on the top floor and will be warm. There should also be a box fan left in the room to help bring the cooler air into the room. The elevator was also out of order so it was a trip up three flights of stairs to the room with all of our things -- cooler, groceries, suitcases, backpacks --- at midnight after a long day. It was disappointing. It I had taken the time to check Tripadvisor as I usually do I would have known not to book this property. This is a beautiful area and we really enjoyed the time we were able to spend in the surrounding canyon and towns.
We are sorry to see that the lack of air conditioning was so hard - we recognize that it would have been uncomfortable since we are currently in a heat wave placing temperatures 15-30 degrees higher than average. We will do our best to help our guests stay comfortable. We hope you enjoyed the beautiful furnishings and made use of the shared pool to stay cool. Thank you!
We loved our stay at this property. It was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was good and the jacuzzi was wonderful after a day of skiing.
I have to comment on the management's helpfulness. I left behind a small electronic tablet device. The manager Aaron, not only found the device for me, he mailed it to my home free of charge. I am so appreciative that I found a company I can trust.
Thank you for this great review and recommendation.
