It was great to have game and puzzles for the family to enjoy together.

The location is great for a family ski trip. The Vail Green & Red bus routes are a quick 2-3 minute walk from the unit, which means that skiers are free to come and go as they please.

The unit itself is clean and well-maintained. It isn't "luxe" or fancy, but it was certainly comfortable and good value for the price. The kitchen was well equipped. Guests should know that there are three levels: the ground/entry floor has two BR (one with two bunks, one with two beds), one BA, and laundry. The second floor has the kitchen, living/dining room and 1/2 BA. The top floor is the master bed & bath. That layout was fine for us, but if anyone in your party has mobility issues, be forewarned.

Parking is conveniently just to the right of the front door, and allows most of the car to be covered.

Entry instructions are a little off. There is a lockbox next to the door, but you don't use it for anything. They "lockbox code" that they will send you is really the code for the electronic front door lock.

Other reviews mention a problem with too much heat. That problem appears to be solved; we were comfortable the entire time.

Pros: Great location, less than a block to free shuttle, Close to West Vail grocery stores. Clean, well-equipped.

Cons: Unable to control heat, particularly in master bedroom. Had thermostat as low as it would go but baseboard electric heat wouldn't turn off. Finally had to open windows in near sub-zero temps to get the temperature below 80.
Manager response:
We appreciate the feedback. Our local team will inspect the baseboard heaters to make sure they are in good working order. We always want our guests to remember that they can call our Guests Services number 24/7 for assistance. We hope to host this guest again soon!
