Family-friendly house w/ entertainment & views of Mt. Baker - dogs OK!

With a beautifully remodeled interior and views of Mt. Baker on a clear day, this historic Coupeville farmhouse is perfect for your next family vacation to Whidbey Island. Spend your days kayaking and hiking on the island's shores, and return home to a dog-friendly living space, a wood-burning stove, and a selection of board games for your entertainment. Outside, there's a large area for the kids to play and plentiful outdoor seating if you want to gaze at the night sky in the absence of light pollution.

What's nearby:
This home sits across the road from the Naval Outlying Field Coupeville (NOLF Coupeville), where Navy jets perform their night flight training (which results in both a neat scene to observe and loud noises that can occur late at night). Here in the middle of the island, you'll find it easy to go both north and south, and there's a bike trail nearby that makes for easy excursions. The cottage is four miles southeast of downtown Coupeville's shops and restaurants, six miles east of the incredible Bluff Trail at Ebey's Landing, eight miles north of walking trails and Whidbey Pies Cafe at Greenbank Farm, and 15 miles south of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. With Deception Pass State Park only 23 miles north, you'll quickly find this area to be a hiker's dream.

Let us stay 1 night. Very relaxing. Nicely appointed. Lots of room for 6. Only note is that bunk is in the single room.

Small farmhouse, nice remodel, private lot with a fire pit. Great stay for family with two kids. Close to Coupeville for restaurants and exploring. Would stay there again.

So historic and still "modern". Comfortable and has everything needed but still feels like we stepped back in time. Deer just off the back porch! Beds were great.

The house was clean and cozy. Perfect place to relax and unwind. The only downside are the loud navy jets but there are ear plugs available. Would definitely book another stay here!

This nicely restored 1900s farmhouse is so very charming and comfortable. We were in WA for our daughters wedding and this house was a welcome change from a hotel room. We were able to comfortably have six adults one 3 yo and our newest 2 mo grandson in the house with the ability to cook meals, do laundry and have the family around a huge old style farmhouse table. The upstairs beds are comfortable and while the downstairs room is a double/twin bunk bed, it still worked well so our daughter and son in law could be in the same room as their kids. The jets doing touch and goes right across the street was an added bonus. Like having front row seats to an air show. They are only out for a few hrs a few times per week but very cool. I would highly recomend this house. Everything you need is there. Just bring some food and your slippers.

The house was a perfect winter get away . We arrived from lots of snow (Toronto, Canada and Washington State's blizzard) and found this lovely farmhouse. The house was newly remodeled and furnished with crisp clean linens , dishes, pots and pans. etc. It was a perfect place to gather in the big kitchen, cook and eat by the fire, and then enjoy a movie after dinner in the living room. Loved the big sky with the full moon and stars so bright. It was too cold to use the back yard, but would be so nice for a cookout and star gazing. Also missed the thril of a fly over by the Navy pilots. Hope to go back in the summer for a get together with my Canadian relatives. Great whale watching and sea food on Island.

We loved the large kitchen and the fireplace. The bathroom was great and spacious. It was cold during our stay and it was cosy to have a fire going.

This home has been beautifully restored. It has been equipped with everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of blankets and comforters which you will need in the winter time. Especially if you are hesitant to operate the wood stove. There is no central heating but there are room heaters in the bathroom and kitchen which work well for the small area. There are also electric fireplaces in the family room and upstairs bedroom. The property was a great location for us close to Coupeville and to Fort Casey where we attended a conference. Do be aware as is stated elsewhere in this site that the Navy's touch'n go airstrip for training fighter jets is directly across the street from this house and we experienced loud noise (sounds of freedom) that goes with the location during the week between 3pm and 7pm. A good pair of noise cancelling headphones will go a long way as well as the ear plugs kindly provided by the owners. Also great response to questions provided by customer service for Vacasa.
