Great location for Yosemite
Darya K. Sep 2020
This place wasn't worth the price we paid. There was no central AC (we learned it actually exists but hasn't been fixed in 30 years) and their screens on windows and balcony door had gaps so we ended up with a hot house full of bugs. Overall it was a bit rundown and like I said this is totally not worth the price at all, would only book as a last resort
Manager response:
Darya, thank you for your review. We apologize that your experience in our home was not what you had planned, what we strive to provide our guests. We wish that you would have called us about the ripped screens. We would have been happy to repair them to keep out any bugs. Our guest service agents are available 24 hours a day to assist. We are sorry for any misunderstanding with the air conditioner. We provide photos, a virtual tour, a unit description, and a list of available amenities so that future guests know exactly what they will be seeing upon arrival. The listing is clear that there is no AC. Normally in this area, guests can be comfortable with fans and open windows for a breeze. We hope for the opportunity to impress you in the future.

Good location & close to the lake. House has a stocked kitchen, dog dishes, clean linens & board games. The reason for the low rating was there was no air-conditioning (note says it's been broken for 30 yrs!), ceiling fan & many outlets weren't working either. It was about 100 degrees and the fans didn't cool the home at all. Sleeping in that heat was impossible! Additionally the pull out could use a new mattress. Many of the HOA amenities are not available to renters nor is lake parking on weekends. Call before you go.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us Maria! We apologize for the discomfort you felt throughout your stay due to the unprecedented heatwave in California. We value your feedback and have sent these suggestions over to the owner for consideration. We hope for a chance to impress you in the future!

We are friends with the owners of this rental and have been vacationing there for 20 years! It is a no frills cabin perfect for families and dog owners. There is a playground next door and it's a block to Fisherman's Cove to catch the lake ferry. There are also walking trails right across the street. It's also a short walk to the smaller Lake Beach, which is a good place to go if you have small children to keep an eye on. You can't beat the location, and where else can you rent a dog-friendly PML cabin? Highly recommend.

We had a good stay except for the poor wifi reception. And we had no idea how to put on the AC..

We loved the place, we cooked, we played a ton of games ( there are many for all age group). Great place to just chill, relatively close to the park!

We really enjoyed the open concept of the kitchen, dining and living rooms. The beds were comfortable and great to have a dishwasher. I wish there were a washer/dryer. There are no laundromats nearby and with children it is a plus to have something at home or at least nearby during holidays. (We stayed for a week). You need to pay a parking entrance fee, as you are considered a guest to the owner of the house, so prepare to pay $32 which is not bad. Every day we would see family of deer that hung out in the neighborhood, it was so peaceful to experience. Yosemite entrance is 30-40 minutes and to get to the valley is an additional 45 minutes. Great drive. I would stay here again and would plan to bring more clothes.

The house is really nice, relatively close to Yosemite and there are many additional things on the house, like board games, toys for kids, etc.

Loved the house and location (PML is awesome!)! Yoemite was beautiful, as usual.

Wonderful big living/dining/kitchen area. Comfy beds. Fun place for our family of four!
