Recent Groveland vacation rental reviews

The place was very clean and conveniently located from restaurants and grocery store. You are about 1 hour to the Yosemite valley and closer to the start of Tioga road. I have to give this place 4 stars because of things the property owners can control and things they can’t control. First, you will need to pay a $40 HOA fee at the gate. I had no idea about this. I don’t know if I missed this in the instructions. However, I feel it needs to be communicated better. Second, the power went out and the house was pitch black and freezing. The power was out for about 24 hours. There were no candles or flash lights to prepare guest for this. The stove is completely electric, so we had to unexpectedly warm up and cook food on the grill. Once the power came back the heat would never go higher than 56 degrees. If we didn’t have the power outage, I would have contacted then property owners. However, as soon as power came back we were leaving the next morning. I had asked if the power was back on our way back from Yosemite and had no response. That was strange because they were very quick to get back with me on other things. It made me worry the power was still out and didn’t know what we were going to eat. Here are some little suggestions… The coffee pot for a place that houses 4 people needs to be the 10-12 cup size. Also, have some coffee filters that fit the pot. There needs to be instructions on how to operate and control the thermostat. Something for if the power goes out like flashlights or something battery powered. Overall, great experience and would come back.

We booked because of the proximity to Yosemite National Park, but we loved our stay because of the clean and cozy comforts this cabin provided.

We loved this home. Plenty of space and super peaceful. Can be a bit tricky to find, but the front gate gives directions to help out. We saw some wild turkeys and deer from the home which we loved!

Sitting just on the west perimeter of enchanting Yosemite National Park, Groveland offers a quaint, historic downtown and easy access to Pine Mountain Lake.

Yosemite National Park

With California's most famous national park so close by, Groveland serves as a popular home base if you plan to explore Yosemite. This 747,956-acre park is absolutely stunning, with beautiful granite cliffs, tall sequoias, and majestic waterfalls.

Open year-round, you can experience everything from hiking, river rafting, and stargazing to winter sports like downhill and cross-country skiing. Downhill skiing is available at the Badger Pass Ski Area (57 miles from Groveland), the oldest ski area in California, while cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails are open throughout the park. When the snow melts, renting a bicycle and taking a day to ride around the park makes for a fantastic two-wheeled adventure.
