What's nearby:
Waimea is a unique cowboy-astronomy town, centrally located to the best Big Island attractions and home to Parker Ranch, the largest privately-owned cattle ranch in the US, and to WM Keck Observatory and CFH Telescope headquarters. At elevation 2670, the air is crisp, the Hawaiian weather is cooler, night skies are clear for star-gazing, and you are surrounded by ocean and mountain views. From Waimea, it’s only a 15 minute drive toward the coast to the top beaches in Hawaii at Mauna Kea Resort, and Hapuna Beach State Park for snorkeling and body surfing. It’s a 15 to 30 minute drive north to zipline, horseback riding, and ATV. Waimea is also a cross road to Hilo, Volcano, Hamakua Coast, Waipio, North Kohala, South Kohala, and Mauna Kea Observatory off of Saddle Road. In-town, dine at Merrimans, Big Island Brewhaus and a host of other restaurants offering ono (delicious) local and ethnic cuisines. Or have fun hiking, mountain biking, dipping into Kohakohau Falls, and watching live performances at Kahilu Theater, and rodeos. Kids will love the community-built Anuenue playground. Or take a drive to Hilton Waikoloa Hotel for tram and boat rides and Dolphin Quest open to the public. We are also a farming community with freshly harvested produce available at the groceries and farmers’ markets. Attend our Cherry Blossom Festival in the spring and Christmas parade in the winter. Waimea is blessed with great food, people, weather, scenery, people, and activities.

We rented both the upstairs and downstairs unit for our group of3 families (9 people). Together they had 4 bedroom, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a well equipped kitchen. The place was well maintained and thoroughly clean. Stocked with clean towels, beach towels and linen. Definitely recommended!

The Le Jardin boy's basketball team enjoyed their time at Awaa Place. the 7 players on the team stayed upstairs, while the 2 coaches occupied the first level. The ping pong table was a big hit with the players while the washer/dryer made the coaches' stay in Waimea for the HPA tournament a lot easier. A great time was had by all!
