Spacious dog-friendly home with pool table - just one block from beach!
The spacious and dog-friendly home spreads out over three floors with a bright and airy atmosphere. The large entertainment room comes complete with a kitchenette and pool table, making one of the most convenient rooms in the entire house! Enjoy the natural beauty of the lakeshore with the excellent outdoor patio space that includes a firepit, gas grill, and an outdoor dining area in case you'd like to enjoy your meals outdoors. Enjoy seasonal views of Lake Michigan from the upstairs master suite.
*Due to local restrictions and high water levels in Michigan, public beach access can change daily. Sometimes there is no sand when the water is high, sometimes access is closed. Oher times the beach will be open and appear normal. With that said, the views will be beautiful every day, so make sure to take a walk down Lakeshore Drive!
What’s nearby: You’ll find this home located a stone's throw from Douglas Beach Park and two from downtown Saugatuck. The downtown Saugatuck area has boutique-style shops and restaurants. Beautiful home and had all the amenities we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials (previous review from July said that there were no pots and pans, but they were there). Conveniently located right near Douglas Beach, but it is closed. This was a bit of a let down, but went down to Oval Beach and spent a day there. Home has a For Sale sign and we called the number and they said it has been sold. Not sure if it will remain a rental property or not, but it is pretty close to everything. Not walking distance, but just a short drive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic place. Spacious, well appointed, everything needed was in place with backups for paper products. The kitchen has everything but measuring spoons, flatware, dinnerware, pots, pans, hand mixers, wine openers. Coffee maker is basket style, filters are in place there is a French press as well. The Master bath has a whirlpool tub. The patio has a Weber 4 burner gas grill with back up tank and a table with umbrella that seats 6. All In all this is a wonderful house that easily accommodates 10 or several more. Whirl tub was a big hit especially after a day at Oval beach. Highly recommend.

Roomy, deadend Street, easy access to Oval beach. Douglas beach is closed. They Vacasa team should have told us that since it is a selling point in this property.
The fire ring was fun. The front porch furniture is completely dilapidated.
Kitchen and dining area spacious . Basement has w/d so big and convenient .
Replace that front screened prick furniture and don’t use Douglas Beach access as selling point. It is a lovely place and rates a 5 due to easy access to Saugatuck and Douglass.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Place is beautiful. Highly recommend.
I recently stayed with a group of friends at this house. It was very clean, well maintained, lots of room, and great location. We especially liked the three full size refrigerators for all our food and drinks. We were close to Saugatuck and number of wineries and breweries. It would recommend this home for a large group visiting the area. Lovely house near Lake Michigan. Our group was very comfortable. The house was very clean and well maintained. Close to all the activities this area has to offer.
My family and I went here to celebrate our fathers life and keep memories alive. The home was spacious, clean and as advertised. Great walking areas as we took our furry family as well. Looking forward to more stays at this home.
Beautiful home with great space for a large gathering. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the large patio and fire pit. The best part was the short walk to Douglas Beach and proximity to other activities in Saugatuck.
We had a fantastic day. The house was perfect for our family, and the location couldn't be better. Everything was fantastic. We look forward to booking again in years to come. We enjoyed the outside area, and the basement offered a nice escape as well. essentially had four individual family staying together here, and everyone had plenty of space and privacy, since there were so many bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking items you could need. Definitely visit the local sand dunes and saugatuck for shopping.
Beautiful home. Very clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable.

The house is located in a very nice neighborhood in Douglas. The kitchen and outdoor area are very user friendly and spacious. It has plenty of room to accommodate comfortably 10-12 people. There is a public transportation system that we used the entire time that was amazing (just have to have a little patience). The Douglas Beach is less than a block and 1/2 away, it is small but very nice. Oval beach is a very short drive away and is a beautiful fresh water beach that is a little more crowded. Downtown Douglas has a few shops and restaurants that are really close. Downtown Saugatuck was absolutely the highlight of the trip. We went there everyday we were there at some point, whether it was to shop, eat, walk around, take a yacht out on the river and lake, etc. There is a small grocery store that is less than a mile away that has everything and is very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend renting this house for a week to experience everything this area has to offer. One more thing-you have to try the dune rides, definitely a tourist trap but for 20 bucks person for an hour of good entertainment it is hard to beat. Don't get to caught up in the weather forecast when your trip gets close, they were only right 50% of the time.
