Prime location - not too close to the town crowd, beach access, end of street. Place is big and having 8 people was not crowded at all. Lower lever is kind of dingy, has some funny smell (maybe moisture). Overall it's clean, but really need some TLC.

Sometimes, there's a house. Well, it's the house for its time and place. It fits right in there. And that's Just Beachy, in Folly Beach.

Folly is unique -- it's not a cookie-cutter beach community, and this isn't a cookie-cutter house. It is unique in its own way; it doesn't have a whole lot of right angles and a few of the bathrooms are a little outdated, but it all just fits. The house also has an unconventional and social layout, and it has an absolute boatload of natural light. In the morning, the light and the waves and the ocean just rises up to greet you like a giant, beautiful smile.

There is plenty of room, plenty of comfortable spots to sit and chat and hang out and read, and the kitchen was wonderful. The back deck is extremely spacious, and the beach access is incredible.

And, my goodness, the location is perfect. If you're looking to stumble home from the bars in downtown Folly -- don't. After enjoying a caucasian or two, take an Uber up the road to Just Beachy, which is close enough to downtown Folly to be a two-minute ride to Bert's Market, but far enough away to eliminate light pollution and provide a jaw-dropping view of the night sky not available on Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palms. It's darker than a black steer's tookus on a moonless prairie night.

We would go back in an instant. It is a great house in a great place.
