Historic Charleston is also just 17 miles west, where you can dine at some of the best restaurants in the country.

This house is very conveniently located to walk the neighborhood pool or the beach. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

The rental had many issues from cleanliness to the front door locking, stains on bed linens and towels, and mold in all bathrooms.

1. No notice was given about trouble on the water line on Monday. Suddenly we had muddy water coming out of taps and into toilets. When I called the desk, they did check with the water company. We were told to keep the water running until it was clear. No boil water advisory was given. 2. The replacement grill was electric, not propane gas, as was provided in the previous two years we used this facility. The electric grill made for tasteless cooking. Might as well use a frying pan. 3. The left front burner on the range did not function. It was broken previous to our stay, as reported by a prior guest. 4. There was no dust pan, so sweeping up into a newspaper was problematical. Chipped coffee cup should have been discarded by housekeeping. 5. The dead bolt door lock wouldn't work well the day before we left (couldn't get the door to lock). I reported it to the desk upon checkout. The female staff member mentioned it had been that way for her too. Why didn't maintenance repair it before it was rented?
