Perfect, large, clean house. Lots of outdoor activities. We enjoyed hiking, the lakes, and the zipline/concrete alpine slide. Really nice option a little over an hour from Portland.
Anthony R. Jun 2020
The house is gorgeous! Extremely spacious, clean, beds were comfortable, and we'll stocked. Located in a prime location!!! Walking distance of Mt Hood's restaurants and stores plus minutes from Timberline and Trillium lake. I highly recommend booking a stay.

The location is perfect. We walked to eat, the general store, and over to Skibowl East in the snow and freezing temperatures. Everything is that close.
The house is so spacious and beautiful. We plan on renting again with an even larger group.
Not only is the kitchen amazing, but there are so many more pots, pans, and utensils than you would expect. So we will plan on cooking and eating in even more next time.
It truly is a dream mountain getaway.

This was our second stay at Evergreen House. We had a great family weekend!

We had the best getaway ever!! The house was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. Very clean, perfectly stocked and an amazing layout! We kept warm, had great snow and ski filled days! Thanks for sharing your wonderful home, we made some great memories and can’t wait to come back!

This home is roomy and very comfortable. It is walking distance to shops, restaurants and the grocery store. We had a fantastic family get together!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Evergreen House. The kitchen and living room area is large enough for everyone to gather and the bedrooms are inviting and comfortable. Because the house is close to the village, we walked back and forth to shops and activities in Government Camp. The large Mud Room made it perfect for the kids going in and out to enjoy playing in the snow. The Housekeeping Staff (Denise) were excellent and everything was neat and clean when we arrived.

Everything was great except WiFi .Very slow (125KB download) did not allow streaming of video or even music unless only one person using it and even then it was choppy. We had to pay for an upgrade of cell phone service for so it was phone to remove the throttle on "unlimited" service. Poor WiFi is the only reason for 4 stars, not 5.
Manager response:
We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We are very sorry that the wifi was not working properly during your stay. We hope to host you again in the future.
Craig D. Jun 2019
The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances, full complement of cookware, etc. The gas grill worked well and the laundry room had everything we needed. The upstairs bathroom was nice with two separate sink areas and one common toilet/shower area between the two.

Super roomy, warm and comfortable. Lots of space. Very conveniently located in Govt. Camp. Beds were very comfortable. No problems to report. Only has two full bathrooms. Tons of room for the owner to remodel and create two full baths upstairs and add a half bath downstairs. Adding and changing the bathroom configuration would be a great investment and make the house much more functional for large groups.

Great location with all the amenities!

There were 6 of us who stayed at the Evergreen House and couldn't ask for a better location or experience. The house is well appointed as is the kitchen. We did some cooking and also ate out one night. Would highly recommend as it's an easy walk to everything in Gov't Camp.

Loved the house. It was wonderful! Booking it again for next year!

We loved our stay at Evergreen House. There were five full bedrooms, making it nice for privacy for all 5 couples and one toddler in our family group. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of pots, cutlery, glasses, bowls, cooking utensils, and plates. They even had two bowls for our dogs! The large dining room table easily seats up to 12 people. It was also convenient to have access to a washer and dryer, especially when drying clothing after a day in the snow. The pellet stove was easy to load, efficient and cozy. Only two bathrooms presented a little juggling with 11 of us, but it was manageable... we only ran out of hot water one time.... just space out shower time and it should not be a problem. One of the best features was the mud room entry with plenty of hooks to hang coats and snow pants, and a long bench for putting on boots. There was also a front door entry with a small bench and coat rack. Evergreen House is only a short walk to Government Camp, but still maintains a feeling of privacy. There were three parking spots and the driveway was plowed both days that we had big snowfall! There was a nice sitting area on the second floor. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay and will be back again next year.

This is our 2nd renting of the Evergreen House. This house is of an awesome size and location. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Mud area keeps snow play equipment out of the living area. Dining Table easily seats 12 to 14. Love the upstairs landing sitting area and the downstairs TV family room area. Great for those of us who read, or chat and those who watch sports on the TV. Plenty of Comfortable Beds, did I mention the fantastic location. However, For a house this big with sleeping for so many, it really needs another bathroom, even at least a 1/2 bath! Even if you need to put it in the basement! We had 10 adults and 2 pre-teen kids with plenty of beds was difficult to schedule bath times, let alone personal bathroom time for so many. If we find another house big enough to fit us, we'll probably go there instead.
Karen C. Nov 2017
Very spacious, perfect for extended family and young children.
Mary Ann J. Nov 2017
The weat her wasn't the best but the home was great. Just tricky finding the driveway but after the first time. No problem
Nichole Z. Sep 2017
We have rented from Vacasa several times and this house was a clear favorite. It was very clean and the entire house was thoughtfully stocked. From the kitchen to the basket with extra blankets this house was ready and welcoming for travelers. I stayed there with several other Moms and we deeply enjoyed our respite and all of the beds were very comfortable. Looking forward to staying here again. Thank you.
Melissa M. Sep 2017
Kitchen was well stocked with all tools we needed. House was set up perfectly for our large group. A few families with small children, couples, singles. Close to trillium lake, skibowl, and walking distance to stores and restaurants.
Dianne M. Aug 2017
Our large family had a great time here -- plenty of room to spread out. House was well-stocked and Vacasa staff are wonderful and responsive!
Bobby T. Jul 2017
Very close to all the shops in Government Camp and close to Trillium Lake, Ski Bowl and Timberline Lodge. If they fix the blinds, get screens on the windows and make sure the AC is in working condition this place is great. Parking is a little tight for how many people this place sleeps, but other than that we had a great stay.
Manager response:
Most homes in the area do not have screens or air conditioning, and this is usually not a problem. We apologize if this guest was uncomfortable. There should be adequate parking for this home if the adjacent home is parking where they should; we will follow-up with them regarding the matter. Thank you!
Justin C. Apr 2017
Before arrival to the Evergreen house communication on directions, check-in/out instructions, house contact info etc. was superb. I felt like I had everything I needed at the right time to be able to enjoy Government Camp and this enormous house that we filled with guests. I was in charge of getting this reservation for a wedding in Govt Camp and with a wedding comes stress. I never had to worry about this essential part of staying in such a beautiful place.
Lori T. Apr 2017
We were surprised that the house was really as large as the pictures! And the upstairs Jack and Jill bathroom was able to accomodate more people as we only shared the toilet and shower but had to separate sink areas with separate doors. Lots of room to lounge and eat with the large dining room table and long breakfast bar. Loved the ski hangers in the entry and all the coat hooks handled the snow clothes. Super exerience! Thanks Vacasa.
Cindy B. Apr 2017
Wonderful place!
Christopher L. Jan 2017
Couldn't have been happier with the house or with my interactions with representatives of Vacasa. The house was exactly as described and as shown on the website. It was the perfect setting for staying close to ski resorts (Ski Bowl, Timberline) with a large family/group of friends. Representatives of Vacasa ensured it was a smooth and issue free rental experience. Highly recommend the house and renting from Vacasa. I will definitely be renting again at this location.

Snow tires and or chains to get out of the steep driveway, during our stay there was ice and snow which made it harder to get up but do able. There also seems to be a disagreement with the parking in front of the house, we were told it was all for the Evergreen house, the owner next door says one spot is his.
David V. Dec 2016
Great property!
Amanda M. Oct 2016
Plenty of room to spread out and feel like you have some privacy even amongst a big group. Really nice kitchen and comfortable beds, couches, etc, and you can't beat the location.
Jim H. Oct 2016
We enjoyed this spacious and very clean house, which is within easy walk to local restaurants and stores. The five bedrooms make it perfect for two or three families to share for a weekend, or for small business retreat meetings. Had a good time in Government Camp, especially with a nice, comfortable home nearby.
Evelin E. Oct 2016
Nice updated home with lots of room to spread out and be comfortable in. The big roomy kitchen was a joy to put meals together in.
Sharon W. Sep 2016
We went to a wedding at timberline and evergreen was a perfect stay. Close to timberline and walking distance from town.beautiful accomodations for any age..we will be back.
Julie I. Sep 2016
Our family reunion at this Government Camp house was a great success. Lots of beds and space to spread out in the house and games for everyone to play. But, the best thing of all was the fabulous kitchen with just about everything you could hope for! We did a lot of cooking - big breakfasts, homemade soup and stir frys and even baking. Plenty of everything and the frying pans were in pretty good shape!
The house is not located in a scenic area but it is very close to walk to the village for shopping. It's also very close to the road up to Timberline Lodge and skiing and hiking. A really great place for families!
Mary B. Jul 2016
The Evergreen House is a beautiful and spacious facility. The kitchen was fabulous for group meals.
There was a lot of unanticipated foot traffic in front of the house and between our cars.
Derrick V. Jul 2016
The home is located just outside of town and is an easy walk into town. The home is spacious and has plenty of amenities. We were a little nervous about their being a home directly next to the chalet but it was very quiet overall. It is unclear who is allowed to park at the home and the parking is apparently shared with at least one other property. There is parking at the top of the driveway on the street.
Stewart T. Jun 2016
Better than the pictures. We enjoyed our stay.
Kelly B. May 2016
Laura M. Apr 2016
We rented this house while at Timberline for my daughters wedding. We loved the layout of the first floor. It was a great place to gather. We would definitely consider returning if another event in the area arises.
Kimberly B. Apr 2016
We had a great stay. The house and the property were beautiful, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return!

We were able to walk everywhere. Great location and home nice separation with kids
Susan F. Jan 2016
Nice home, it was great to arrive and find it heated and the lights on. Nice and big.
Sara M. Dec 2015
The Evergreen House exceeded our expectations in every way. Very easy to get to, close proximity to restaurants and bars, and the house itself is incredible. All the immenities one could need. We held a work retreat during our stay, and all the guests were very impressed and comfortable. I highly recommend the Evergreen House and hope to return myself!
Kathy B. Sep 2015
We all had a great time. Location was great. Lots of room. Was well stocked with everything you need. Would recommend to everyone.
Drenda H. Sep 2015
My sisters and I, along with our families (total of 11 people), rented this property just a few days before our trip. We were a bit nervous to go through with the rental because the property did not have any reviews. It was a good decision to move forward! The house is great, and very nicely furnished and equipped. Three of the five bedrooms are quite small (the ones with Queens); the bedrooms with the bunk beds are nice sized. The bunk rooms were perfect for the teenagers -- they had a great time hanging out and watching movies. The living area is also small for the number of guests the house sleeps, and having only two bathrooms for so many people also was just a bit of a challenge to coordinate showers, etc. The kitchen and eating area is wonderful. We fit all 11 of us around the table with no problems. The location is perfect -- hiking and adventure just steps from the front door. We'll be back!
