Clean and many helpful employees who are there to assist visitors. I had my “do not disturb' sign on my door every day. The service staff called to ask if I needed service before they left for the day.

The bar/restaurant staff was pretty surly and the hours were inadequate.

The room was subpar for the price we paid. There was no air conditioning. Walking into that room was like walking into a dry sauna. That might be okay in the ski season but not in August. On top of that there wasn't a hair dryer in the room. Even Motel 6 has hair dryers. The carpet was frayed away at the doorway to the bathroom and something sharp was poking out. I found that out with my bare foot. The carpet was also installed sloppily in general; there were spaces between the unfinished edge of the carpet and the wall. This room failed the Motel 6 test. A room must have the basic amenities and quality of a Motel 6 and then build up from there with better quality and amenities. In regards to the hotel in general, some improvement is needed. At the time of my stay there was significant construction going on in the parking lot. Understandable. These things have to happen now and then. What was not understandable was that under that condition, with 3 weddings and a convention of some kind coming in that weekend there seemed to be little to no plan in place for arriving guests. There should have been someone at the gate explaining the situation with valet tags in hand. Instead we pull up to a glutted parking lot (all spaces full and two rows of vehicles down the middle) with a flower delivery vehicle needing to turn around and exit in the middle of the chaos. The only hotel staff in sight is a girl taking to flowers from the delivery driver to another building. She did try to direct the traffic to extricate the floral van and explain that if we took our keys to the front desk our car would be valeted. The front desk was swamped and kept letting cars in the gate since they had no way to have eyes on the situation in the parking lot. On the upside the staff was very friendly and as helpful as could be with the situation. They seemed overwhelmed by it though.

Service and staff was exceptional. Everyone was helpful, friendly and eager to assure we were taken care of.
