This place was even better than we expected! We arrived at night so we didn't see the view until we woke up the next morning. We knew it was going to be good, but it was actually excellent!
The house is located right where Alsea River meets the ocean, so we had a front row seat to a diversity of wildlife. We watched bald eagles fishing for breakfast from the comfort of the dining room and saw seals swimming just out past the bluff.
The house felt larger than we expected it to and it was very clean. There was even a nice new leather couch and chairs in the living room that we didn't expect based on the photos.
The kitchen was well equipped, although we elected not to cook. But...it was nice to have real plates and utensils for our takeout.
The Hilltop Cafe Bistro, literally right next door, had excellent food and was as convenient as it gets for eating out during COVID with dine-in restrictions. We also ate at Grand Central Pizza just down the road that proved to be excellent as well.
Overall, we had an excellent stay at this home and will definitely be coming back in the future.

House does have an excellent view and is up on the bluff overlooking Alsea bridge and water way. It does have close beach access via 3 different locations; however the immediate area is not very walkable. As other reviews noted property is right on Hwy 101. We found the home accommodating but experienced some comfort issues that were addressed by Vacasa.
Manager response:
Hello Craig,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the issues you had during your stay, as this is not the high standard of guest satisfaction that we hold ourselves to. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager. We do hope we have the chance to impress you in the future.

Costs way to much for a small, one-bath house that is so close to the main road that you can't leave windows even partially open; no walkable beach access; comfortable seating accommodations for only 4-5 people; marginally equipped kitchen. On the positive side, view from the covered porch is great, king and queen beds are comfortable, property was clean. Positives did not outweigh negatives, though, and I would not book this property again. (Our cost for mid-October rental was nearly $300/night)
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Yvonne. We are sorry to hear if you weren't fully satisfied with your stay. Please note that pricing is matched with the current market rate and can change daily. We have a variety of homes at differing price points and we truly hope you'll consider us for your next getaway!

The views warrant a five-star review, along with the fact that it's dog-friendly.
The house is perched on a bluff with a million dollar view of the Alsea Bay and bridge. There is a private yard with a fence that will contain all but the most dedicated four-legged escape artists.
The interior of the house is cozy, so it was okay for two adult couples and a toddler. The larger bedroom could even accommodate two adults in the queen and to younger children in the built-in bunk beds.
The kitchen had enough utensils, dishes, etc., but zero food staples such as sugar, olive oil, and basic spices, which is fine as long as you plan for it. We cooked a lot, and there is a grocery store a two minute drive away. The large dining area with a picture window made meals a pleasant social event.
Beach access is a 10 minute walk, but the path is steep and slippery. A rope railing helps, but it's not for those with limited mobility. The beach was nice and sandy.
The only real diminishing factor is the parking, which is very tight. You have to drive across the lawn to the side yard. It's not a problem if there is nobody parked in the spots reserved for the other adjoining rentals, but if they are taken, you had better hope everyone is reasonable and available to work together to let you in and out. We were fine the first night, but had to ask our new neighbors the second night to move their vehicles down some. They did, and it was fine, but it's something to be aware of.

Breathtaking view of Waldport. Nice home, the parking can be an issue for multiple cars as the the house is right off of the freeway. However, the views make up for it in spades. Clean and comfortable beds and lovely kitchen nook. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!!
