Great weekend getaway! Cabin was decorated very cute, perfect for small family. Loved the fire pit and we were able to bring our dog who also enjoyed the fresh mountain air!

The cabin is excellent for getting away! It was blissfully quiet, with wonderful views (though the smokey mountains are often shrouded in clouds).

We have stayed in this area before and have done all the fun stuff in Bryson City like riding the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. With things being the way they have been we wanted a more isolated vacation this time. Happy Top was a perfect retreat for us and the cabin was clean with lots of clever amenities. We enjoyed the touch-light lamps with usb in the bedroom and the huge kitchen sink. Since we packed in all of our food for the week this made clean up after cooking a breeze. Right off the kitchen is the enormous deck with great mountain views that I found myself staring off more than once. At night we cozied up by the fire whether indoors or out at the fire pit. Close enough to lots of great trails and even more activities with Nantahala Outdoor Center so close we can't wait to return in a different season.

We had a great time during our stay at the cabin. We were there for the week of Christmas and even had a white Christmas! The cabin was very clean and there was wood to get us started in the fire pit. YOU MUST HAVE A 4 WHEEL/AWD vehicle if you are there during winter conditions. The cabin is located at the top of the road and very private although another home is being built below, the trees will provide privacy. Our kids and dog enjoyed the large yard and deck space. The gas fireplace is easy to use and kept things very cozy. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the best (socially distanced) little getaway ever! This cabin is cozy and charming. And the views are incredible. Everything was brand new, very clean, very well kept. The kitchen had all the utensils and tools I needed to make breakfast every morning. The beds were comfy and just the perfect amount of space for my family of 5 (3 kids). The little town nearby called Bryson City is charming and has great shopping and restaurants. The local grocery store Ingles is great too. Overall we loved our cabin in the woods, will be going back and would recommend you check it out!

When we first arrived at the driveway entrance, we didn't know that the drive up to the cabin itself would be so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin itself has a much bigger covered front porch than I thought, which came in handy when we wanted to play boardgames with my son on a rainy day. The deck is huge, just like in the pics. :) The lot itself is bigger and flatter than I realized - we wished we had brought my 6yr old's bike with us. The fire pit area was great and so cozy in the evenings! We had the bonus of leaves on the ground so my son could throw them in to the fire (with parental supervision) every now and then to get big flames. :)

Once you step in to the cabin, you feel so cozy! It's so beautiful. The decorations were scaled back so you could enjoy the cabin and not be overwhelmed by an owner's personal taste. There was plenty of room in the living area to put my son's two IKEA bags full of toys/books/games... yes, I said two IKEA bags. I know. The rooms weren't cramped - the master is pretty spacious.

There are screen doors on both the front door and the sliding door to the deck, so it was LOVELY to have both doors open, hearing the birds sing, feeling the mountain breeze, and smelling the fire outside while cooking a meal and playing Christmas music in the background. :) We enjoyed Happy Top Hideaway very very much.
