Cozy, waterfront, mountainview cabin w/prime location & shared hot springs!
Come spend your summer days watching fireflies dance in the meadow, or your chilly nights soaking in the two on-site hot tubs by the hot springs when you book a stay at this Redstone getaway. Serene and rustic, this home lets you unwind as you revel in nature.
Located just across the river from the Filoha Meadows Open Space and three miles from the town of Redstone, you'll be set just far enough away to enjoy a peaceful ambiance, and close enough to enjoy local attractions. We recommend that you stock up on groceries and fuel in Carbondale, about 13 miles away, as well as use a vehicle with 4x4 capability to access the home safely in winter.
Flooded with light from the bevy of windows, the home welcomes you in with a cheery atmosphere. Pop the tops on a few local microbrews and head out onto the deck to take in the stunning tree-lined views. Connect to the WiFi to check the forecast before you plan your next excursion.
Fire up the gas grill to show off your BBQ skills, or if the weather isn't cooperating, the basic kitchenette has the necessities to help you keep everyone fueled up and on the go. With a microwave, coffee maker, and a full-size refrigerator (but no stove/oven or dishwasher), whipping up quick snacks or a picnic lunch will be a breeze.
Dine at the picnic-style table near the kitchen, or out on the deck. Sip a cocktail outside as the sun goes down. When it's time to retire, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom home has room for up to four guests to spread out in comfort. In the bedroom you'll find a rejuvenating queen-size bed and plenty of storage. Out in the main living area there is a fold out futon for even more space.
Surrounded by beauty that played host to the Disney movie "Tall Tales," you'll be able to delve into a wide array of outdoor fun. There are on-site hot springs that fill two tiled tubs along the riverfront - these are shared with the few other cabins on the property, so enjoy! You could also strap on your cross-country skies and head out for a snow-filled day of exploring and Nordic skiing.
During the spring, the area comes to life with kayaking, fly fishing, and fun attractions. Spend some time soaking in the sights at the Filoha Meadows Open Space (across the river from this property). When it is open to the public (July through September) you'll be able to watch elk, deer, and birds of all kinds in their natural habitat. Treat everyone to a mouth-watering meal at Marble's Slow Groov'n BBQ restaurant. Make sure to grab the Marble Mac & Cheese and their Hillbilly Nachos.
Whether you're strolling through the wild orchids, watching the fireflies, or soaking in the hot springs, this Colorado retreat puts you right in the middle of peace and relaxation.

Our families needed this vacation - the setting, the accommodations, the location - was perfect. We will DEF be back. Clean, secure, quiet and very well maintained. I'd give it 10 stars if allowed.

We took our own camp stove because the posting said there would only be a microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and outdoor grill. But there was also a 2-burner electric stove top (no oven), electric kettle, and dishwasher. There were plenty of pans, utensils, salt and pepper, even coffee in the refrigerator.
Hot tub has natural hot springs running through it, so no chemicals. Great view of the stars.

We stayed in this cabin for 2 nights and enjoyed a lot. It has a beautiful view of mountains very close and the hot tub is very relaxing. The owner and property manager were friendly and they care for their customers.

This home is located in a private area and the view is spectacular. I love that it was remote, it was great to unplug and enjoy the scenic grandeur.

This place was quaint and the best getaway I’ve ever experienced. I visited Colorado for the first time and after being in Denver for three days this was the perfect way to end our vacation. The cabin lets you kick back and enjoy the beautiful nature that is around you. The entire property is gorgeous and there are different view points of Mt.Sopris. Make sure you get your groceries before heading in after dark! The best part of our stay was the mineral tubs at night staring up at the Milky Way! I don’t know if I’ll ever be back to this side of the country but I’m so glad i got to experience this.

Rental is lovely, extremely clean ,spacious and the location is pure magic with wildlife including elk, coyote, bats, [special bats found only in two locations worldwide] deer and many species of birds. The springs on site are perfect after a day of hiking.
The property manager, helpful, available and knowledgeable of area. The staff repairing one of the pools, [Tom?] also extremely kind and helpful, knowledgeable about the springs and wildlife.

My husband and I loved staying here. The private hot springs hot tubs were wonderful, not to mention all the wildlife in the meadow. I would recommend these cabins as the perfect place to go unplug, recharge, and relax. The cabins are completed supplied with all utensils and cookware needed, including grilling tools. The groundskeeper is super friendly and checked-in once a day to ensure everything was up to standards. Even though the main house is on the property, we had complete privacy. I would come back every week if I could - definitely didn't want to leave this place.

Sitting in the hot tub by the river, sitting on the deck watching elk on the reserve AND listening to the river in the night!! Awesome!

We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back. Great space for 4 adults, albeit cozy. We absolutely loved the hot tubs and spent lots of time there. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were lots of extra towels. I feel so refreshed after having spent the past three nights there. Love this little gem!

This location was beyond what my boyfriend and I had hoped for. The setting was beautiful, the hot spring hot tub was divine, the caretaker was friendly and welcoming. We would love to go back and stay longer!

Great location, clean cabins and nice get away. We are returning guests as we stayed last Fall and we will definitely be back again next Fall!

The cabin was in a very beautiful location. It was quiet and peaceful for the 2 days we were there. The cabins come in pairs, so there was one attached to the one we were staying in, but the occupants left the day after we arrived. Nights in the hot spring's under the blanket of stars was a highlight.
The mosquitoes in the morning and afternoon limited our outdoor activities, but it was a relaxing trip - exactly what we were looking for.

We have only been home one day and are already thinking of how we can get back. Every twist in the road, every forward step on a trail brought something new and lovely, lovelier than we could imagine.

Can be made better, but all in all beautiful place to stay!

This home is a convenient spot to explore Glenwood Springs, Aspen and Crystal. We enjoyed the peaceful nature of the property and the beautiful location. Our boys would jump out of bed each day excited and we had so much fun that we extended our stay to maximize the family fun. I have to point out that the property manager, Mike, is fabulous too. Thank you for a great opportunity to explore our new state; we loved it and will be back soon.

Our stay at Filoha Meadows cabins for a week was far much better than expected. We knew we were renting a simple cabin without too many amenities. We didn't expect the level of attentiveness and the new condition of everything. The setting and the property though, also surpass expectations of what can be seen in the photos. There are two cabins, each duplexes, offering 4 total units. The larger duplex apparently has lofts for a bit of extra space. But the smaller duplex are large too, letting us spread out and have separate spaces for sleeping, lounging, dining. This is especially good for families and kids who need space to play.
The Filoha Meadows in the Crystal River valley is a spectacular setting among red-rock canyon walls rimmed with pine and aspen. We were expecting cooler nights in mid-June, but we could easily lounge on the deck late into the night. One highlight was soaking in the natural hot spring-fed hot tubs late at night in total darkness except for the stars. There is plenty of wildlife to observe too.
The cabins themselves are simple, but newly renovated (2016), spacious, and stocked with new kitchen utensils and amenities. The owners and caretakers don't offer extensive services like fishing gear, expeditions, and other things that some resorts offer. But this keeps the cost down and ideal for extended stays. The location is just remote enough to be away from everything and everyone (except for guests in the other 3 cabins - in our case all very friendly and respectful of privacy and quiet hours), but it is also well-connected: 15 minutes drive to Carbondale for all necessary shops and services, 25-minute drive to Glenwood for attractions, and 45-minutes or so to Basalt, Snowmass, and Aspen areas for more activities and everything else they offer. We'll be back and recommend it to others.
Hands down, one of our best mountain vacations. Ideal for those who want to get away, and spend their time in a minimalist setting to relax or use as a home base to design their own activities.

Good holiday and vacation spot. Beautiful. Well worth the drive down to Redstone.

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The hot springs are amazing and the valley is stunning. Simple cabin with everything you need. Met the owner and he was a wonderful man who wanted to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

We wound up at Redstone almost by accident, but were very happy we did. This valley had everything we wanted in the backyard... Babbling brook, wildflower meadow trails, and gorgeous rocky views. The cabin is simple but had everything we needed, and a lovely deck from which to watch the natural world go by. The small nearby town of Redstone has supplies, as long as you don't need too much! We found excellent pastry -- a priority for us!
