Team was awesome! Mitzy and Dahir was super helpful. Looking forward to working with them again.

The unit was very well appointed and the natural brightness from the placement of windows. The one thing needed (in my opinion) was blinds on the upstairs patio to offer more shade in the sitting area.

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Ballena Azul, Loreto Bay November 1 - -14. Everything was perfect. The condo is so thoughtfully set up and in a lovely location within the Founders area. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sun rise and happy hour with the setting sun. Your attention to detail just perfect. We enjoyed access to the bikes - helpful to get to the market and to Pickleball! As we have run a rental cottage on the Sunshine Coast we were delighted to discover fellow Canadians as the owners. As we have appreciated from renters, we thought we'd let you know a couple of things. The lights, both solar and in wall lighting along the stairs to access the roof top patio do not work. This leaves that top stairwell very dark, requiring a flashlight and extra care after dark. We let Casago know. Also, a small thing, but a total treat to have, but the frother does not froth. This is the same as our Nspresso frother and they just stop working properly after a couple of years. The Casago staff were excellent. Mitzy was our go to person and was super responsive and helpful both when we dropped by the office or via email. Mitzy gave us a lift to the condo with our bags when we arrived. She secured and organized including accompanying the agent, a car rental. Her care and availability really added to the holiday. Mostly just sending a big thank you. We hope to be able to return. Regards, Sally

Where is Loreto Bay?

Good news if you're arriving by plane - Loreto Bay is only seven miles south of Loreto International Airport. As you drive to your quaint vacation rental, roll down the window and admire the scenery. Unlike the flat desert plains of Cabo to the south, the Loreto Bay area in central Baja California is hillier, with rolling foothills dotted with shrubs and cacti contrasting nicely with the shining blue of the ocean in the distance.

Things to Do in Loreto Bay

The tiny community of Loreto Bay lacks the exciting nightclubs of Cabo, instead offering visitors a chance to take a breather and simply relax in this quiet fishing village. Start your day by admiring the views of the bay to the east and mountains to the west. Step outside and breathe in some fresh ocean air as you take a stroll through town, stopping by the lone wine bar, Wine Cellar @ Nopolo, to pick up a bottle to go with the groceries from the lone store in town.

Simple days just taking in the peaceful, rustic atmosphere are lovely for adults in search of a break, but thanks to the abundance of activities, kids are sure to love Loreto Bay too! On hot summer days, be sure to stop by one of the two shared swimming pools to beat the heat. You can also head down to the beach - stretch out on your favorite towel over the dark, warm sand and watch the kids play as the surf gently rolls in, or rent a kayak or paddleboard and do a little exploring of your own!

Other Nearby Attractions

One of the most obvious destinations from Loreto Bay is the town of Loreto just to the north. On top of offering its own beaches to explore - alongside a comparatively bustling marina - the town is rich in historical attractions. The ancient Mision Nuestra Senora de Loreto still stands for visitors to explore, with a nearby museum that further elaborates on its history. Don't forget about golfing - Club de Golf Loreto and Loreto Baja Golf Course are both nice stops on the way back home!

Don't settle for anything less than the privacy and convenience that our Loreto Bay vacation rentals the next time you come to Mexico. You'll immediately wonder how you did it any other way.
