The home was clean and very comfortable. All of the appliances were in working order. The temperature was difficult to manage as the installation around the patio door in the bedroom was not great. Other than that everything was good.

Loved the unit, the price, the view, the amenities - everything!

The area was the best on the island.

The condo was nice, but getting the key and getting up to it was a hassle. We've stayed in many condos & houses in Galveston and not sure I would come back to this one.

Very clean and awesome!

The property at San Luis is gorgeous with upscale amenities. Beautiful pool with swim up bar.
The condo unit is on its way to being fully refurbished. Fresh paint, new flooring and a new sofa-bed are the newest updates. The appliances and t.v. are dated but functional. We will return!

Beautiful condo attached to the beautiful hotel and get to use all the amenities of the hotel, which was a blast!

It was straight out of 1989, but I knew that from the pictures. Can't really complain because I knew what I was getting - it was the price I wanted to pay versus the overpriced hotel rooms. It just sucks because the bed mattress felt like it was still from 1989 and my neck/back felt it when we left. I also can't stand when they say that a pull out couch counts as room for guests - I've never felt one of those to be a decent place to sleep either.
Manager Response:
We are sorry to see the mattress was not to this guest's liking. We hope they enjoyed their time in the home otherwise!

Skip this property! Many of the plugs did not work the ones that did work shop flames out of the wall when I try to plug in my cell phone. There was no television. That is fine for some guests, but when you're traveling with teenagers you expect them to be able to plug in their Xbox or their PS3. When they're done swimming and you want to have some alone time with your spouse It would be really great if they could watch Netflix or play a video game.
Manager Response:
We are disappointed to read this review. The property manager inspected the outlets and was unable to find any issues, and there is a TV provided for guest use. We apologize if this guest missed it and wish they would have called for assistance.

- No cooking knives in the kitchen so we could not cook several meals we brought.
- There were staples exposed in two areas where the carpet joined with the tile (in the kitchen and the bathroom) so you could not walk barefoot over those areas without poking your feet.
- Several lamps light bulbs were out.
- One wall of outlets in the living room did not work (this is where the TV and radio are plugged in) so we were unable to watch TV or listen to music without using an extension cord. This wall also had the dining chandelier plugged in so this was unusable.
- The outlet in the bathroom did not work so we could not use the hairdryer in the bathroom.
- There are ants in the kitchen.
- No water pressure in any room for cold water.
- Foul smelling liquid in the bottom of the trash can.
- On the last day as we were cleaning up and collecting our things, we found dirty women's lingerie and a dried piece of toast in between the bed and the nightstand. We were pretty disgusted so maybe it was a good thing we didn't see that on day 1.
- The fold out bed did not have linens or clean pillows ready for us, so a staff member had to drop those off to us on the first night. We were grateful for his response and quick communication, but this did not make up for all the other offenses.

The "spacious" condo met ALL of our needs on this trip! The view from both balconies was AMAZING! After a long day at the beach, it was nice to relax on either balcony at night while taking in the ocean breeze and the sounds! The condo, amenities, hotel (& Vacasa Customer Service) staff, as well as the restaurants at the San Luis, etc....was Incredible! Looking forward to our next trip soon! Thank you for making this our trip the BEST yet!

It had been over ten years since we had vacationed in Galveston. Returning with our youngest for his first time on a beach and swimming in the Gulf was made so much better with the San Luis. We spend our mornings on the beach and our afternoons in the pool. Being able to walk to restaurants like IHOP and the Rainforest Cafe or even Pizza Hut was a pleasant bonus.

Loved my stay, enjoyed the resort pool and the beach, but had to cross the busy road to get to the beach, the parking spot was provided in the garage with secure entry, that was nice. The office to pick up the key was not easy to find, the office need better sign to see it from the road, it is not convenient, also had to drive to the office to drop the keys. The balcony sliding doors were not easy to open, needed some muscle. Also, the tea cups were too tiny, would be nice to have large cups too. I would stay again if rates stay low, beautiful views and great resort amenities.
Manager Response:
The Property Manager has taken care of the cups. The local team is currently brainstorming a better pick-up/drop-off solution for the keys. We appreciate our guests' patience in this matter.
