Scenic Retreat #1772

Scenic Retreat | Cozy Moonridge Cabin with Ski Slope Views in Big Bear

Escape to the mountains at Scenic Retreat, a cozy single-level two-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin in Big Bear's central Moonridge neighborhood. This 886-square-foot retreat sleeps up to six guests, making it ideal for a small family or a group of friends. True to its name, it offers scenic mountain and ski slope views, with nature right outside your back door and all of Big Bear's local activities just minutes away.

Start each morning on the expansive redwood sun deck with a cup of coffee among the birds, taking in sweeping views of the mountains and ski slopes. In the evening, fire up the propane BBQ and gather around the patio furniture and picnic table to enjoy the alpine air. Inside, the open floor plan feels like your own private mountain lodge. Vaulted pine-beamed cathedral ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling stone wood-burning fireplace set the scene, while large floor-to-ceiling windows fill the cabin with natural light and frame views of the falling snow and the slopes in winter. Settle in for a movie night on the large flat-screen TV with cable, or curl up by the fire. The efficiently equipped kitchen has oak cabinets stocked with cookware and utensils, standard appliances, and a dishwasher for easy cleanup, and the custom log dining bar seats four and doubles as extra prep space. The king bedroom offers direct access to the deck, and the second bedroom has two full beds, an ideal arrangement for families with kids. Every bed is made up with warm linens, blankets, and pillows, and fresh towels are ready when you arrive. A full hallway bathroom serves the cabin, and a washer and dryer are handy for wet snow clothes or longer stays.

Scenic Retreat's central Moonridge location puts Big Bear's year-round attractions within easy reach. In winter, head to the slopes for skiing and snowboarding. In summer, explore the hiking and biking trails or spend the day at Big Bear Lake. Restaurants, shops, and local activities are all just minutes away, and driveway parking for two cars makes arriving easy.
