We loved this place. Very quiet, at least while we were there. Very close to the lakes and the Devils postpiles national monument. We would like to come back maybe next year.

Location was perfect to get to dining and attractions in Mammoth. The studio was small and a little dated but a good fit for two people and we liked using the hot tub and other condo amenities. Since we were spending all of our time outside anyway, this worked well for the trip!

This was my ... 2nd? ... time in HV29, but I've stayed at this complex dozens of times since the 90's, always in the summer and usually for a week (discounted). 1/4-1/2 mile to the village, which I can still do, and a mile from downtown, which I can't (I'm 78). HV30 directly over this is more roomy and has a dining table and open living room, but has stairs to the bed loft which give me trouble now. A chair on the balcony would have been nice in HV29, but next time I'll bring a deck chair from the car. Wi-Fi is different from last year but worked OK. Spa is about a 100-yd walk here, closer in HV30, which has a direct walkway to the parking lot with no stairs; a dozen steps up to HV29, which I was able to negotiate with luggage using the railing. Peekaboo view of the mountains thru the trees, slightly better in HV30. SuddenLink cable TV in Mammoth is fairly bleak, but the unit has a disk player and you can stream some stuff through the TV. Watching TV is tricky unless you like to watch from the bed; I used the rocking chair. All the cooking gear I needed and more, plus plastic glasses for the spa.

We enjoyed staying here...we (two adults and two children) lovingly called this studio condo "the lair." The location is great - a short walk from the Village and right off of Lake Mary Road on the way up to the lakes. It was definitely a cozy space, given that it is a studio, but we knew what we signed up for and it served our needs just fine. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was nice (the shower head had a good flow, plenty of hot water even after two people had showered before me, and there is a removable wand that was helpful to wash off dirty post-hiking feet/legs). It got a bit warm at night, so we kept the kitchen window open as well as the patio door and that kept the temperature comfortable as we slept. Given the small space, some of the furniture is a bit cumbersome. The stools in the kitchen are necessary since the "table" is the counter between the kitchen and studio space, but the stools were pretty bulky and kept catching on the rugs. Given the fact that we needed to use the sofa bed, there was a rocking chair that was kind of in the way and the coffee table was heavy yet needed to be moved to make sure we could have some walking space between the two beds. However, if you don't need to use the sofa bed, it would not be a problem. The condo has guest access to Netflix, which was great for when we were back from our busy days, but the connection was not great and sometimes did not load. Fortunately, we had some DVDs that we could play instead on their DVD/Blu-Ray player. The patio has no outdoor seating to sit on the deck, so you might want to bring your own folding chairs. We stayed for three nights and it served our basic needs, which is all we wanted, so I would recommend it as a good, no frills "lair" to come back to when you aren't out doing all the activities Mammoth has to offer.

Had all the amenities I needed for my 5 night stay. The place was just perfect for a group of three & not hard to find at all. Also very peaceful place to stay. Nearby everything! definitely would stay here again.

The Hidden Valley Condo was pleasant and comfortable. Close to the village and very easy to get in and out of. I would recommend this rental for your mammoth stay! Studio unit with room to migrate around.

Small but cozy, exactly what we needed!

Really nice place to stay for a few days. Large enough and attention to detail. Enough supplies to last. No complaints. The pellet fireplace was nice

The room was everything we expected and more! It was cozy and well equipped. All we had to bring were our clothes and some food. We were in an excellent location in relation to the Village and the hiking trails. I can’t say enough good things about this room.

Overall a very nice condominium and well appointed. The couch fold out bed was trashed, missing springs and a worn out mattress. Unusable and had to sleep on the couch. The heater fan would rub internally making an annoying sound when operated. Nice view and centrally located.

Loved the convenience to the lifts, right around the corner from the bill. Super quiet, very nice! Needed a blow dryer, only downfall. Everything else was great!!
Frederic R. Apr 2018
We loved the location, size of the condo but what we loved the most is that it has everything you need. It has been recently re-equiped with new stuffs like dishwasher, knifes forks glasses etc
Jeremy A. Jan 2018
Nice place but didn’t get much sleep. Can hear the people up stairs walking around and talking, had to go up and ask them to be quiet at 3:30 am. Stayed three nights and each night we were woken up several times throughout the night.
Manager response:
We apologize for the disrespectful neighbors this guest had to deal with. There is a noise ordinance in Mammoth, and had guests requested assistance from Vacasa or local law enforcement, they would have received it. Thanks!

Great location and property for my husband and I to get away for our first boarding trip of the 2017/2018 snow season. Convenient check-in and check-out process after hours. Cute place with good amenities. Would stay here again.

It was very nice and we enjoyed our time here, the habitation was very personal, not like a hotel. This we like very much.
Mary Ann C. Sep 2017
We loved the location of this condo in addition to the view of the trees and mountain top! Lake Mary Road takes you up to all of the lakes and bike trailes in minutes. The kitchen is upgraded with everything you need and we loved the little dishwasher. We will definitely be back!
