Recent Mammoth Lakes vacation rental reviews

Everything was comfortable and useful.
Alexander E. | Jul 2021
The condo was absolutely gorgeous! I really want to give it 4.5 stars. The .5 star deduction is because the condo gets really hot in the afternoons. Even with all the windows open, (and we took up a few fans of our own), it was hot in the common area. This condo is also not handicap accessible. There are a few flights of stairs you have to climb before getting to the front door, but my mother, who's 76, was able to make it. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect. Beautiful, updated kitchen and appliances. Clean and spacious rooms. I was worried that it would smell like dogs, since they allow up to 4 dogs in the condo, but again... it was perfect!

The condo was very clean and well-kept. Surrounding grounds are beautifully landscaped, lots of grass if you have a dog to walk (we do). Nice deck to sit on and enjoy the view of nearby mountains. Mammoth Town Loop bike path is easily accessible.

Hikes near Mammoth Lakes, CA

Make the short hike to the Devils Postpile National Monument and marvel at the hexagonal basalt columns. The trail is easy and ideal for children who aren't up for long walks. Bring along a camera, since lovely Rainbow Falls just begs to be photographed. For another easy hike, take the walking trail around Convict Lake and appreciate the backdrop of the beautiful mountains. While you're at Convict Lake you can swim or rent a boat, if you feel like it. For a more challenging hike, try the Crystal Lake Trail and enjoy the stunning views.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area

The area's biggest draw is the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, a world-class snow sports resort that boasts a rare 22-foot half pipe that draws pro snowboarders from around the world.
