We had a nice time and the cabin was just what we were looking for

We stayed two nights in mid-November, as we needed a base-camp for one day of trail work and one day of recreational mountain climbing. The close proximity to Greenville was perfect, and we liked the seclusion better than places we'd rented on Moosehead close to town. The setting was lovely, even though we didn't even walk to the shore. Sunrise and sunset were charming.
The cabin itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but just right. There are plenty of higher-end, greater-capacity rentals in the Moosehead region, but we didn't need that. More, we needed a bunkhouse. Hence the 4 stars, and not 5...this place is not a luxury rental, but it does what it does very well.
It heated quickly with the Rennai-like heater. There was a nice wood stove but we didn't use it. Don't recall seeing any firewood anyway. We used the gas grill, which we scrubbed because it had some rust on its grates. (Apologies for our omission, but we left in the morning without putting the canvas grill cover on!)
Some rental properties have sundries, some don't. This one had TP and PT, bars of soap, coffee filters, and some limited general spices, vegetable oil, etc. Towels and linens were great. Nothing in the fridge (like condiments, butter, etc). That's ok, but future renters please note. We left a bag of awesome coffee!

The Mountain View’s, enjoying the pristine tranquil water and watching the loons and ducks!

We have stayed here for two weeks for 10 summers and I have written two glowing reviews. Please scroll back to read them.

I haven't been this remote for awhile and it was amazing. The view was magnificent, the sounds of the quiet, the wind and the loons moved my soul. My husband and I brought our kayaks and paddled on "the pond" each day and had it all to ourselves, the water is crystal clear, shallow and rocky, only light boats like kayaks or canoes but perfect for us. The cottage has a nicely equipped kitchen and bathroom and comfortable bedrooms. We wish we had stayed longer! Great get away!

We had a lovely time at this cabin. Very well equipped - thank you! I have stayed at many with absolutely bare cabinets. It was clean, a very nice yard and lots of chairs, and all the kitchen equipment you could ever want!!!
Only one thing, with thunderstorms that weekend, the power threatened to go out, and there were NO candles or flashlights that worked. Please add some of those for future guests. Luckily the power did not go out.

We definitely loved our stay. Thank you. Aletha

We had a great week in Greenville at the Pineo house. Thank you again for allowing us to build some wonderful memories!

We've been coming to this home for two weeks every summer for over a decade. It is comfortable, has lovely decor, and the swimming off the dock (my specialty) is second to none. We hope to keep coming for another decade at least. The view from the dining room table is exquisite, and it's such a joy to see ducks and loons swim by. Another treat is sitting out on the deck in the comfortable chairs looking at the lake, listening to the wind in the trees, and hearing the mournful tremolo of the loons. We call it our paradise on earth.

Great spot, great time!

My husband and I spent two nights to just relax and get away from it all. The property was very private while being fairly close to town. The pond was peaceful and relaxing and the house was comfortable and cozy. Also should note that we had very good cell reception (Verizon) which had been a concern to make sure we could be reached in emergency. I wish we could book this for the whole family this summer but it is only rentable for 7 day stretches in the summer.

Our only complaint is having to haul out our trash and being greeted with a tip envelope.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The cabin was cute, very clean and extremely well stocked. We very much enjoyed sitting out on the dock and enjoying the beauty. Wonderful place to stay!

This place was soo peaceful and absolutely amazing! You weren’t far from Greenville to go enjoy the day and all the amenities were there for you to enjoy quite evenings at home. The view was amazing and you could see it from about everywhere in the house!

I loved the area and had a great time with my husband and 3 kids. The cabin was very nice. And the view was amazing. Definitely we’ll be back.

This cottage, right on Wilson Pond and surrounded by trees that block out the neighbors is, quite frankly, a taste of heaven as I imagine it. The owners keep it immaculate and in perfect condition. It's beautifully and delightfully decorated, with thoughtful and artistic whimsy, but not overdone. We love swimming in the lake and sunning ourselves on the dock. There are bicycle roads for my husband to cycle and interesting museums and stores for me to browse in town. We've been coming here for some 15 years, so that speaks for itself.

The view of the lake through the super-large windows.

Everything about the Pineau property is great! We can tell they love it and take care of it. We will rent #122 as long as it's available. We are grateful to the Pineaus for giving us their camp for the rest of the week.

This is a beautiful property with easy access to the water for all water activities, including swimming. Inside the property is beautifully decorated and comfortable.

This is our 4th year at this camp and enjoy it very much. Hope to be back next year!
