This place had a special kind of charm.

We spent a week here with our 3 kids. It is a really nice setup, with a dock. It is one of the more affordable places with a dock.
Maggie M. Aug 2021
My family just loved our stay here. Our three kids were comfortable in their bunk bed room and the walk down to the dock was quick and beautiful. Everything was clean and ready for us. Plenty of extra fans around the cabin helped keep us comfortable and cool. Would absolutely recommend a stat here and we hope to come back.

We loved the cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub and especially the fire pit by the lake. Only issues were grill not working and room with bunk buds had a musty smell.
Manager response:
Hi Timothy, thank you for your review. We are so glad to hear that you loved the cabin, and especially enjoyed outdoor amenities including the hot tub and firepit! We apologize for the misunderstanding: this home does not have a grill included as an available amenity. After receiving your feedback, the local management has been made aware of the smell in the bedroom with the bunk beds and is working to resolve it promptly. We encourage guests to reach out to our local staff if any needs arise during stays and we try our best to assist in a resolution. We do hope that we have another chance in the future to host you!

Lovely cabin, clean and with most basic
necessities. Beautiful view to the lake. Hot tub felt luxurious on cool evenings.
Some basics missing but not a big deal (hint: bring your own salt and pepper, and coffee filters). Furthermore, it would have been nice to have available oars and life vests since there are two kayaks in the property.

This was such a cozy home to stay in for the weekend. It had everything we wanted. Fireplace, hot tub, nice bathroom and kitchen! We loved it.
Giavanna W. Nov 2020
The fire pit is further from the house than expected and the cabin was difficult to heat at night, but other than that our stay was amazing. Great location, near local stores. Very cozy feel and the hot tub was well-maintained.
Thomas S. Oct 2020
Loved the cabin. The cast iron stove, hot tub, rustic construction, chiminea, etc. Resuced one star for proximity to the road and traffic. Difficult for light sleepers.
Chris M. Oct 2020
The Cabin was perfectly sized for 2 adults, 1 child, and a toddler! We were close enough to the lake, but not on top of it. It was very clean! The fireplace was a great part of the trip. I was able to relax and stare at the fire after the kids went to sleep and relax!

Loved the dock and fire pit by the lake. House was nicely decorated and kitchen well appointed. Had a great time.
Laura S. Jul 2020
Cabin was nice for a small group. Hot tub was nice and a short walk to the private dock
Erika H. Jul 2020
This cute house sat far enough from the lake where the kiddos couldn’t wonder off on their own (as long as you mind the sound of the cars going by on the road behind you- we didn’t mind it) and yet close enough for lake swimming throughout the day. One of the rooms smelled like strong mildew, and the kitchen amenities like basic salt, pepper, coffee enough trash bags and paper towels were lacking. Cute updated bathroom and nice size living room for a family of 5. Hot tub was a big plus!
Manager response:
Hi, Erika! Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear the home was to your liking! Thank you for bringing your concern with the smell to our attention, we had notified our staff to address this matter and now the smell is undetectable. We hope to host you again soon!
Ashley M. Jun 2020
We had a great time and the cabin was fantastic! We will definitely be back!! Thank you!
Rosalea D. Mar 2020
Everything was amassing! The exact getaway we needed during a loss!!! Absolutely beautiful!
Bill H. Mar 2020
Cabin was cute, but definitely needed updates and maintenance. The first thing we saw when we walked in was the deer chandelier full of cobwebs. Door knobs loose, furniture broken and ripped. And it needed more seating for the bed accommodations.
Manager response:
We appreciate your review, Bill. The cable and WiFi matter has been addressed, the couch is fixed, door handles have been tightened, and we have ordered a new chair. The housekeeping staff has cleaned the cob webs.We hope to see you again!

We had a great 3 night stay at Cedar's Edge. The cabin is close to the road and some other properties but still secluded. The kitchen was relatively well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The living room furniture is lacking in comfort a little. We loved the hot tub! The location is great for skiing at Wisp and for nearby restaurants.
Jin K. Nov 2019
Nice quiet place with a less than a minute walk to the water.
Joe D. Sep 2019
The amenities were rustic and nice for the price! Close proximity to the docks and all the attractions in Deep Creek! Chimnea on the deck was perfect for evening camp fires!
Lexi B. Aug 2019
We loved the cabin and fire ring area. We were a little surprised how far away the lake was. You couldn't see it from the cabin.
Tom N. Aug 2019
The house was perfect. Secluded enough with the lake right there. We enjoyed the dock and fire pit. We loved the entire area, and this is now our go-to vacation spot!
robert c. Aug 2019
Clean close to lake great spot
Lee T. Jul 2019
The seven of us had a great time! Easy access to the lake and the dock, had fires both on the deck at the cottage and down by the lakefront, and LOVED the hot tub! Very quaint and relaxing. For the price, I thought that it was very appropriate. Would stay there again!

Perfect cabin for two couples stay in for a nice weekend getaway. This house had everything we needed. Will definitely think about coming back.
Rachel B. Oct 2018
Everything about this cabin was really nice - hot tub, great open space in the common area, comfy beds, fireplace, and what looked like a nice porch & outdoor fire pit. Cute bunkbed room would be great for multiple kids willing to share a room.
We went on a BUMMER of a weekend, where it was rainy & 35degrees from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, but the cabin was so nice to sit in, that we had a very nice time cooking, having a fire, and vegging out.
We ventured to Deep Creek Seafood (Delicious, maybe 5 min drive?), the Discovery Center (great for our 2 year old), Deep Creek Donuts, and more. The shared waterfront area with its stone beach was gorgeous - even in the rain!
Cabin came well stocked with kitchen supplies, etc., and we appreciated all the small touches.
Only small complaint was proximity to the busy road, but only for noise of them driving by - not for danger. Plenty of trees between the yard and the road, and we would definitely stay here again!

The house is super cute in a really great location!! It’s a mile away from Uno’s and lakeside creamery (which has the best ice cream). The beds are relatively uncomfortable and the bedrooms are pretty small with no where to put your stuff, but overall the house is very cozy and provided everything we needed. There is a path that leads you right to dock/lake with 5 Adirondack Chairs around the fire pit. We had a really great time and we definitely rent again!!!
Jennifer M. Jul 2018
Great house- literally only 100 steps to the lake!!! Enjoyed many campfires while sitting on the edge of the lake! The house had everything we needed and the hot tub was clean and ready for use!!! Didn’t need the AC that was available as the temperatures were very cool at night. Will definitely stay again!!!
Janet F. Jun 2018
The home is indeed rustic. However, there are many amenities that are either erroneously or inadequately stated. The cabin is not water view or lakefront. It’s location includes road noise. There is no air conditioning in this cabin; a factor NOT stated. Cross ventilation is challenging even with fans as there is no screen on the front door. The hot tub was unclean upon arrival and required filter cleaning to enable any use. The bathroom smells of mildew due to lack of ventilation as well. The kitchen needs adequate supplies of utensils, silverware, can opener and potholders, etc. Overall our stay did not meet our expectations!
Manager response:
We have purchased another set of pots and pans and a new blender. We haven't noticed any odor in the bathroom, but we did clean out the hot tub filter. We apologize for the error in listing this home as lakefront and have removed that from the website. With this being a mountain home that rarely experiences temperatures over 80 degrees, air conditioning is not necessary. It is impossible to list every possible amenity a home does not have, so we encourage guests to please check that all their necessities for a vacation are specifically advertised. Thank you!
