We didn’t love anything. Broken oven knob, couldn’t use the oven. No fire starter provided couldn’t enjoy a fire. Hot tub had about a foot of water in it and couldn’t be repaired during our time in the house. The beautiful photos were well staged as the interior is dark and the nice furniture has been removed. Fix the blinds so light comes in and take away the ugly futon that replaced the teal leather sofa seen in the staged photos. Provide some tissues in bathrooms and stop providing cheap paper towels. Very disappointed for what we paid to enjoy a week in the mountains.
Manager response:
Hi, Gregory! We're so disappointed to read you were unhappy with your Vacasa experience. We are taking new pictures to reflect what is currently in the rental, and we have verified the oven knobs are working correctly. Thank you!

Honestly the house was so cute the living room was really big and spacious the hot tub was so fun the neighbors were really cool the parking space wasn’t bad definitely would love to come back again just got to get that vacation time 😁😍🐻🙌🏽

The house is different and charming; with a unique vibe from most houses. A bit of a labyrinth, you can find many little doors and entrances, that seem frivolous, and that is half the fun!

Loved the house and location was so relaxing

The cabin is full of add-ons and fun little hidden doors, but that does not make up for the essentials.
The kitchen is not small, it is tiny and very difficult to put together a meal without using the table for prep, etc.
The main living area has skylights that make the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable during the day. Provided fans were of little use.
Cute, but I would not recommend it.
Manager response:
Randy, we appreciate your review! We regret the home may not have met your expectations. We include photos and a virtual tour of our homes so that our guests are not surprised upon arrival. We hope to have an opportunity to better impress you in the near future!

Took the family out to Big Bear for our fifth year anniversary. Chose this cabin for the historic value. My wife loved it with all the secret doors and hall ways. Would definitely rent this cabin again.

We used Vacasa to book the Hobbit House in Big Bear for the New Year and it was perfect!

We had a lovely retreat in this warm and cosy house. The decor is quirky and we had fun looking around the house when we first arrived. The kitchen was great for preparing meals for our large group and we all enjoyed sitting in the main living area eating, talking and playing games! The beds were comfy and the house was really clean. We all made use of the hot tub which was really hot and relaxing; perfect to unwind after a long day at the slopes. We could easily walk to the shuttle which only took five minutes to get to the slopes which made it a fantastic location.

We all enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning :)

Loved the rustic character of this 90 year old cabin.... It was set back up away from town which was so quiet and serene.... there were hiking trails we could walk to from the cabin and the lake was a short drive away. It was great to be able to come back in the evening and sit out back in the jacuzzi too.
Manager response:
We have purchased a fan for each room and hope this guest will return next year to enjoy them!
