This popular destination is known for its scenic beauty, ideal climate, and wide range of recreational options year-round. Whether you're looking for a romantic retreat or planning a family escape to a cozy ski rental, a Big Bear cabin is the perfect choice for your next vacation.

Where Are Our Big Bear Cabin Rentals?

In the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest and on the shores of Big Bear Lake, you'll find beautiful Big Bear, CA. This area - popular among both tourists and locals - includes both the city of Big Bear Lake and the slightly smaller town of Big Bear City.

Less than 100 miles from the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles and approximately 145 miles north of vibrant San Diego, you'll enjoy a quiet escape surrounded by California's natural beauty. Big Bear cabins have been a popular destination since the early 1920s, and the area still promises an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.

Things to Do Near Our Big Bear Cabin Rentals

Approximately 25 miles northeast of San Bernardino, the aptly-named city of Big Bear Lake sits on the southern shores of the lake. During the warmer months, you'll find most of the area's visitors and locals enjoying the water and trying to catch trout for dinner. When you stay in one of our cabins in Big Bear Lake, you can catch a few yourself and bring them home to cook. As Southern California's largest recreation lake, Big Bear Lake is a fisherman's paradise in the summer and is also beloved for its boating, canoeing, and kayaking.

When the snow falls, our ski chalets are the place to be. With rentals at two winter resorts - Bear Mountain and Snow Summit - you'll have plenty of downhill skiing at your fingertips. For those less inclined towards downhill, the area's hiking and biking trails also transition to cross-country and snowshoeing terrain. After spending an afternoon skiing in fresh powder, head back to your cabin rental and warm up with a mug of hot chocolate in front of the fire for the true Big Bear experience.

Despite its small size, the town of Big Bear Lake has everything you might need during a getaway to the mountains: restaurants, shops, festivals and events, and a farmers market. Almost all of our Big Bear vacation rentals include fully-equipped kitchens, so you can pick up a bounty of local produce and prepare meals right in the comfort of your own home away from home.

Big Bear proves there's so much more to Southern California than beautiful beaches and boardwalks. Discover the magic for yourself with a stay in one of our luxury lodges, laid-back cottages, or cozy Big Bear cabins.
