This was so relazing, it was like being in a home away from home. the grounds are spectacular, beds are very comfy, loved the old time bathroom. you cant go wrong when renting this beautiful place. thank you for a sharing your home.

If you want to unplug and relax, this little log cabin is the place to be. With its own hiking trails, babbling brook and forest vistas from each window and door, idyllic is the word that comes to mind. Clean, cozy and stocked with much of what you need to prepare home cooked meals, this is the place to get away from it all without renting an RV or sleeping in a tent! We didn’t want to leave.

Incredible home, in the finest tradition of a Maine Cabin. Everything you need for a wonderful escape

The cabin is ideally located in the woods, near a pond, yet only a 10 minute drive to Greenville. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed for a peaceful and refreshing get away.

This property was listed as having access to the local snowmobile trail system. Upon arrival, a note was in the cabin with written instructions on how to access the local trail system. These instructions required you to drive 1.1 miles down the plowed road in front of the property. In Maine it is illegal to drive more than 500 yds on a plowed road on a snowmobile. We were stopped by local game wardens for driving too far on the side of the plowed road. This issue caused us to end our vacation a day early due to the inconvenience of the trail access. This being said, I would like to compliment Kelli from the local management team on how she handled this situation. Once I notified her of the situation, she handles the situation in a very professional and caring manor. She immediately contacted local authorities and started working on a solution to the problem. She communicated very well with me throughout the process and offered a reasonable resolution to our personal situation. During our stay she communicated with us to make sure we had the best possible snow removal in our driveway to make sure the evening snow falls did not impact our stay. She and the snow plow driver did an excellent job of keeping the driveway safe and accessible. This was my first time renting through Vacasa, the electronic communication and the individuals I spoke with on the phone were all very professional, friendly, and extremely helpful."

There was a map to “discoveries and natural treasures” on the fridge. The trails were brightly marked making it an easy trip and fun to discover what the 50 acres had to offer

This is a lovely cabin on a beautiful property. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we could possibly need for cooking. It also had very comfortable beds and lots of clean good quality towels. The roads and well marked trails were great for walking and snowshoeing. Birdwatching from the big window in the living room was an added bonus. Only one caveat: the bathroom and two of the bedrooms are on the second floor via a spiral staircase that could be a problem for anyone with even mild mobility issues. Overall a great experience. We would definitely return.

The home was in a beautiful location and the pond was great. There were many ants inside and the sheets were not clean.

The cabin was rustic and secluded but also modern and comfortable! It was incredibly clean and relaxing. Although hard to find it was well worth it with the small river and the claw tub it was perfect!

We just had a few days. But we loved the cabin. It is cosy and provides all you need for your comfort - even more than we exspected. You can reach a lot of trails from there very easily.

Perfect getaway! Beautiful rustic cabin and property with everything you need! Well worth it!
Elizabeth B. Apr 2019
The cabin is secluded, down a long-ish driveway with no neighbors. It was very clean; not a cobweb or dust bunny anywhere. The architecture/design of the cabin was beautiful, especially the unique spiral staircase and the decor was the perfect blend of rustic and eclectic. Plenty of nooks and crannies for our kids to explore and stocked with books, toys and games. The view through the large window in the living room was peaceful, with a clear view of the stream. The beds were comfortable. There is a Sirius XM radio in the living room and available wifi. We really enjoyed our stay and just wish we had gone when there wasn't so much snow so we could have enjoyed the yard, stream and fire pit. (The one suggestion I would make would be to change the ring holding up the shower curtain above the claw foot tub: the ring is very narrow and the shower curtains are plastic, and when wet they cling to every part of you that touches them. Especially if you are bending to shave your legs or wash your feet, there's no escaping it. It was maddening and claustrophobia inducing, like a National Lampoons scene kind of situation, LOL!!)

My wife and I stayed here for a week and loved it. This cabin is very remote yet still minutes to town. The first thing we noticed was how clean the cabin was. The cabin also had everything we needed. The power went out one night in the whole town but we were able to use the gas lights and there were flashlights and everything we needed. there is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place as it is well kept and very clean.
Julia S. Nov 2018
We had such an amazing experience. The cabin was wonderful. Everything was taken care for. We had no problems. The place is beautifully decorated and you have everything you need. The cabin is located away from any busy roads. it is surrounded by woods. It’s so peaceful. There is a nice trail that takes you to the lake. It is a perfect place to relax.
We would come back anytime .

I loved everything about the cabin I don’t have one bad thing to say. I will defiantly be booking another trip back to Maine.

Loved how quiet and remote it felt to stay here, even though I was only minutes from everything at Moosehead Lake. Very comfortable. Great kitchen.
